Six Questions with Paul Ammons:
1)When did you first hear and learn about the Treasure Hunt?
I heard about TTOTC in 2015. I Really did not pay much attention to it as I was moving from Corrales NM to Texas. When I got to Texas it was on my mind, so I ordered the book. I did not look at the book until November of 2016.
2)What inspired you to become involved and begin searching?
Synchronicity is why I “put in”. I could not get away from it. TTOTC was my story without the details written in it. I hope to complete it someday. When I read “Dancing with the Millennium” I almost fell over. In June of 2002 I was in Saint Frances hospital in Santa Fe in very critical condition. Tommy Hicks wife was in the room next to me dying of cancer ☹. My father became good friends with Tommy. There’s more to that story.
3)What is your most favorite part about the Treasure Hunt so far?
I was at a low point in my life. After reading the book I knew I was not alone. You see, I had lost my Mojo and TTOTC got me thinking. I decided to look for the TC in February of 2018. After my hunt season with some wonderful experiences my brain was starting to build muscles again. I love some of the people I have met on the way. Just days before you asked me to write this, I got a search partner. That Is Big for me because I am not a fan of having partners. This one was meant to be.
4)What is your least favorite part about the Treasure Hunt so far?
The searchers that I read about, with the only motivation to locate the TC is ALL about money. For me that would take away all that is given to us by mother nature and it’s beauty.
5)What is the best or most unique thing you found while searching for Forrest Fenn’s treasure chest?
I found my Mojo!! I also found an opportunity to help other searchers in hard times.
6)What more would you like to say?
Like I said I was in a bad place when TTOTC found me. I’m sure, I am a member of Forrest fens 7% club, But I don’t care. I do owe FF a BIG Thank You! for the kick in the ass … I needed that.

That’s awesome Paul, thank you for sharing! I was at a low point when I came into the Chase also. Forrest has been a great inspiration to me and that brought about many positive changes in my life. I needed a kick out of the nest. Now I’m learning to fly! Vaya con Dios my friend!
