The following is a list of the top 10 clues for the Pokémon Box in Arkansas! They are ideas and together form a theory for a box being in the state of Arkansas. Even though many searchers agree on the potential clues leading to Arkansas – nothing is confirmed.
It should be noted that searchers are looking in many places/states – and it is best to keep all options open until a box is found. Again – the following are theories/ideas.

Pokémon Box in Arkansas?
- The phrase ‘halfway to the stars’ is used in the chapter text. With 50 states/stars on flag and Arkansas being the 25th state (and in 25th chapter) – it can be considered ‘halfway to the stars’
- Past the Ozarks – mention of Ozarks in the text and trip possibly hints to the large general area the treasure is hidden. ‘Ozarks’ are in AR
- Story of Pokémon Go and Augmented Reality might have been chosen for AR to be hinted to – state abbreviation for Arkansas
- Jazz Bar mentioned in text- could be a sound alike clue for JASPER (AR)- narrows down larger Ozark area
- The phrases/sentence – ‘listened to some John Coltrane. It seemed appropriate.’ is in the text. Coltrane is a Jazz musician. Some is used – might it hint to some ‘JAZZ/JAS’ – (per) Jasper, AR
- ‘lily pad’ is used in the text. On the map of the area is seen the Lily Pad – a place to stay.
- Bouffalant mentioned in text – possible hint to Buffalo National River – defines/supports the area
- ‘middle of it all’ and ‘hemmed in’ phrases in text: referring to trail names in the BNR area
- Kricktune, Yanma, and Ledyba (Pokemon) are mentioned together in the text. Taking first letters might hint to: KYLL for another ‘sound clue’ and hinting to Kyle’s Landing (an area in Arkansas)
- Hemmed in Hollow is a ‘box canyon’. The text phrase of ‘knew every corner of the area’ might hint to this with connection to box (BOXLEY connection is also an option)
- The phrase, ‘I might lose my way’ might hint to Lost Valley – another place in Arkansas (near BNR and the other locations seemingly being hinted to)
