Has a There’s Treasure Inside Box been found?
Jon Collins-Black has said searchers have been within 200 feet of the There’s Treasure Inside Pokémon Box and Appalachian footpath treasure box – maybe others – and maybe even closer…..

Many searchers go to the thought a box may have already been found and simply hasn’t been announced. That’s a possibility, but while that may be in the back of our minds it’s not the most likely possibility and it’s far from the only one.
Before we assume it must already be gone, here are the top 5 other reasons a searcher – even many searchers – could get that close and still walk away empty-handed.
- Thick vegetation or other terrain hides the hiding place – it’s hidden very well – and requires careful and thorough searching.
- Searchers misinterpreted the final clue or clues – maybe searched the wrong side of the trail….maybe there’s something important everyone is missing still.
- They ran out of time or daylight. A careful search can take hours. Walking through an area once rarely means you’ve truly covered it. If well hidden – or if many crevices and locations for a box to be hidden – this takes time.
- They convinced themselves they were in the wrong place – or thought that it was already found. When doubt seeps in – treasures are often overlooked.
- They expected a different type of hiding spot – and overlooked the actual one.
So –
Could a box have been found and not announced? It’s possible. But it’s not the only explanation.
Sometimes the difference between success and failure isn’t the puzzle—it’s the final 200 feet. And this takes time, effort, and a bit of luck….
