Clues to the Hope Chest Treasure Hunt Tags!
The Hope Chest was released in December of 2022 by Cris Dotson. Four different tags, then a final capsule, need found to claim the $50,000 cash treasure. Below is a list of known clues to the different tags and final capsule that Cris has given. These in addition to those in the book.

Green Tag Clues (Hope Chest First Tag)
- Official Clue March 2025: Cris said: “You can find the chapel where the wine is if you believe in crossing over.”
- From Searcher: Advice: If you don’t have an exact location you’re driving too (Example: If you’re just driving to a general area such as a whole town etc) you should spend more time researching. When I found the green tag I drove straight to it, parked several feet away. It was right where I knew (or hoped lol) it’d be.
- Cris said “it is not in downtown Cincinnati”
Red Tag Clues (Hope Chest Second Tag)

Cris confirmed this is a clue: “You can’t count on anything Evil one…HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHA!!!!!!!….You can try to count to nineteen and that might get you somewhere with the RED one. If you think you are fast enough to decipher the code. You will find digits of a Great Privilege of which one will be missing but is worth nothing anyway.”

- Q) Is the pedestrian traffic where the 2nd tag is high or low?
- A)Low now but at one time at certain times it could be high.
- Q)Is the RED tag in a location that is only open on certain days of the week?
- A)No. It’s free to look at at all times.
- Q) You stated in some of your answers on Mysterious Writings Website that the Town/City/Park for The Red Tag is not listed on your map. Is the Town/City/Park of the starting point listed?
- A)The starting point is in the book and on the map. Yes the starting point for the Red Tag. (Cris had mentioned before that each of our 5 targets has their own starting points. I was just curious if the one for the Red Tag is listed on the map. He has already stated that the final location of the Red Tag is not on the map. (listed))
- Q)Is the red tag more than 100 miles from green tag?
- A)NO
- Q)Is the object that the 2nd tag attached to the same color as the tag?
- A)That’s a NO
On the Red Tag Poem:
- Q)Does the red tag have a theme to tie the clues together?
- A) Yes somewhat…
- Q) Is the 2nd tag poem in order or do lines need to be switched around to work or be understood?
- A)They are in order.. no moving around needed.
- Q) Concerning the line about “I and I” ….does it represent people, places or things?
- A) It could. It’s actually kinda two out of the three.
- Q)In the 18th line “LIKE HE DID I”, does HE refer to your Father?
- A)Yes
