What is the There’s Treasure Inside Tanzanite clue in search for the Lion’s Share box?

In the interview with Rob Lavinsky on TTI Unofficial Podcast, Rob noted that Jon Collins-Black had an interest in Tanzanite. From that interview it seemed like Jon specifically wanted to have this gemstone in one of the treasure boxes.
Rob is featured in Chapter 4 of the book. We learn in that chapter Rob is the person who helped Jon acquire most, if not all, of the gems and minerals in the treasure boxes.
On page 231 of the book is a photo of a 116.7 Tanzanite – This will be in one of the treasure boxes. (shown above)
The Tanzanite is shown in the section after Part 2 of the book. This section is titled as ‘Some More of Our Treasure Items’. Within this section is shown the Tanzanite, along with other items – the 9.65 carat Diamond, 4 more rings and a gold box from the collection of Tuyet Nguyet, a gold nugget, Bitcoin, Jade bracelet, Jade and Gold amulet necklace, Citrine and Diamond necklace by Michele della Valle, and a Viking Gold Ring.
What Jon writes about the Tanzanite is interesting – since it links to other curious items noticed previously in the book. Jon writes:
“…first stone to be added as a birthstone in ninety years. December was the lucky month.”
Jon mentions birthstones previously in the book – so this fact on Tanzanite seems more than a passing comment.
It has to be asked if Jon’s desire to include Tanzanite into his treasure cache was so he could write that. To the casual reader – it’s only a fact. To a searcher, it might also be a clue.
The number 90 is given again – maybe as a clue?
But also, December. December is the 12th month. North Carolina is the 12th state. Other connections to those have been noticed.
Is the Tanzanite a clue that it’s in the Lion’s Share treasure box in North Carolina? (Other clues to North Carolina Lion’s Share Box location)
Or could this section hold clues to all the states the treasure boxes are in? For example, the Pokémon box ‘could’ be in Arkansas – supported by clues in its chapter. In this section – under the 9.65 Diamond is the line, “It’s unaltered and in its natural state.” Arkansas is called the Natural State. So this item could be in Arkansas.
