- Jon mentions college – and how the ideal course for him would have been Life Preparation 101
- He shares story of using the Dewey Decimal System to look for what he should do – what career makes the most money. It was S-A-L-E-S.
- He tells story of his sales job – that during a presentation asking a ‘blind’ man to read a color chart he showed him. This to connect how Jon himself had been blinded not by condition but by ‘winging it’.

Chapter 2 Curiosities and Possible Clues
Shimmering Circles of Gold
In connection to Joy’s Serenade poem line: Shimmering Circles of Gold. It’s interesting that twice ‘Shimmered in / with gold’ is used. Are the circles of gold the rings then?
- Pg 33: “The entire ruling pavilion shimmered with gold. Our lotus ring of enlightenment may have adorned such a court.”
- Pg 35: “The horses and the carriages they pulled all shimmered in gold.”
Highway 101
In connection to Jon’s mention of ‘101’. In chapter 1 he mentioned the importance of a Road Map. In chapter 2 he mentions 101. 101 is a major highway along the pacific coast. It starts in Los Angeles – which that location was also mentioned:
- Pg 33: “Angkor’s land mass was the size of Los Angeles.”

Red Divider Lines – MW Video on these lines
- Within the chapter are red divider lines. While they do separate story lines and thoughts, might they give a clue of some sort?
- Chapter 2 is the first chapter title to include ‘Notched Letters’. They are not seen in all titles – so it would seem they may be a clue of some sort.
