A look at a possible Pokémon Treasure Box Clue! (read or watch video – link below)
In the There’s treasure inside treasure hunt – there are 5 different treasure boxes hidden somewhere across the us – treasures are valued into the millions. Might a clue for one one of those boxes be a ‘Sound Clue’ – I think so! Let’s take a look. (Lots of discussion happening on the MW Discord – Join us!)
In the hunt for the Pokémon Treasure Box – it has been suggested that a clue given to find the box is in the following sentence: This on page 217.
“At a local Jazz bar, I happened to meet a type of Pokémon called a Froakie.”
This sentence is at the beginning of the fictional story where JCB says may hold clues to find this particular treasure box. Saying out loud quickly- Jazz Bar – can sound like ‘Jasper’. This – along with other possible clues found in the story – which also hint to Arkansas – Jasper, Arkansas is a possible starting location.
More support for Jazz Bar to hint to Jasper – is that Jon has said he likes board games. Mad Gab was a popular party game – published in 1996. This game is not about what you read – but what you hear.
In the game a string of unrelated words are read (slowly). Teams race to hear what saying the word string quickly – reveals. For example: And I’ll do an easy one.
Know Ozark. Say it quickly. Know Ozark
It reveals: Noah’s Ark
Another example –from the game – and a bit more complicated would be:
Jog Clay Die Scream – say fast and out loud – for Chocolate Ice Cream. My favorite.
So as you can see – or hear actually… Jazz Bar certainly could be Jasper. Are there other sound clues in the text? Like maybe ‘jar of flies’?
