Justin Posey’s Poem First Stanza – Clues, Theories, Ideas

What are the clues in Justin Posey’s Poem first stanza? Justin said there are at least 10 clues within the poem, and we know they are to lead to an exact location – once all solved correctly.

Some of the clues then must lead to geographic locations on a map for us to find the treasure. Let’s look at possible meanings to the poem lines in the first stanza.

Justin Posey’s Poem First Stanza Clues – ideas and thoughts

Can you find what lives in time,

  • Memories (lives in time – by remembering the past – today – and making new ones for the future)
  • A River (ever flowing – living)
  • Riddle (for example -I’m or Me – are words in time)
  • Minutes and Seconds – they are part of time (clue to coordinates or hinting to an exact location is found)

Flowing through each measured rhyme?

  • Flowing supports the idea for River (lives in time – ever flowing)
  • Flowing hinting to continuous journey – doesn’t jump around through poem
  • “Measured” rhyme suggests the poem structure, count, or rhythm, could be important.
  • It’s noted all end words rhyme but Degree and Place. Interesting words which could link with minutes and seconds (what possibly lives in time)

Wisdom waits in shadowed sight

  • Wisdom, Montana – sits in Big Hole Valley. Surrounded by mountains – in their shadow
  • Wisdom name of treasure – it waits tucked away – hidden in darkness (shadowed sight)
  • Wisdom is what a searcher will have once poem solved
  • Shadowed sight suggests a searcher casts a shadow to pinpoint the location of hidden treasure
  • The use of the word ‘Waits’ suggests you must go to it – as a location or object, it is waiting for you. OR Wisdom is waiting for you to achieve it

For those who read these words just right

  • Hint for the poem line to be Justified right
  • The correct interpretation of poem lines – gives wisdom (found the treasure)

Putting First Stanza together – Summary

  • Lives in time – we have to find it
  • Measured rhyme – whatever lives in time flows through the poem
  • Wisdom – Waits – in Shadowed sight (we’ll find it here?)
  • Must interpret lines correctly through play of words, references, riddles, exploring locations on map, etc. in order to find ‘what lives in time’.

Possible Geographic Locations of First Stanza:

  • Wisdom, Montana (via Wisdom)
  • Big Hole River – flowing and supported by Wisdom being mentioned (and later Hole)
  • Other rivers (lives in time – and wisdom could refer to something else)
  • Location of a personal memory noted in book
  • Location of legend/story noted in book
lives in time

First Stanza Theories – Interpretations

Taking the above thoughts, ideas, and theories into consideration, the first stanza seems to be placing the foundation – while possibly hinting to how a searcher can solve the rest of the poem – and maybe even giving a location to explore more.

Each word in the stanza seems to work together. The featured word and then words further describing or how it might be used.

  • ‘Something’ lives in time – this ‘something’ is featured all through the poem. If you interpret the lines correctly, you will learn of what this ‘something’ is – and acquire wisdom. Can’t do so with just this stanza.
  • The location of Wisdom is hinted/given for a purpose. Applying this, the Big Hole River is realized. Locations linked to the Big Hole River will then need discovered throughout the rest of the poem lines. This idea supported by the next stanza.

As more information becomes known/realized – I’ll update this page.
