Over the last few months a few new Armchair Treasure Hunts have been released. A basic definition for an Armchair Treasure Hunt is ‘a produced hunt for a treasure which has been intentionally hidden and requires the solving of clues, to either physically find a hidden treasure in the real world, or to provide a correct claim to the creator of the hunt for the treasure hunt’s prize’. There are various formats and ways these treasure hunts can be constructed.

TROVE: The armchair treasure hunt, Trove, was published by Sandra Miller and holds a prize of a bejeweled bracelet valued at over $2,200 dollars.  A coded stone is hidden somewhere in the New England states. Clues to find this coded stone are given on Sandra Miller’s Website, but her Book TROVE is required to solve them.
