There are multiple armchair treasure hunts, of all different styles, out there to enjoy. Some are for hundreds of thousands of dollars, some for priceless collectibles, and some for a variety of other treasures. The fact is they are out there to exercise your mind, explore, and discover treasure. I’ve always considered armchair treasure hunts as the best way to keep your mind active, while learning about new things, with the chance to claim treasure. There is nothing else out there with that winning combination- and Mysterious Writings is the ultimate place that keeps you informed about where and how you can quest for those treasures!
If just getting started in the hobby of armchair treasure hunting, there are smaller puzzles happening on the MW Forum to gain practice and build skills. Get involved and look around.

Subscribe to the MW Spotlight for updates of new hunts, puzzles, and fun. For instance, the Second Annual Masquerade Tribute 2022 is released on 3/20/22. Since it hasn’t launched yet in 2022, it isn’t in the list below (not in progress now), but it is the armchair treasure hunting event of the year! You don’t want to miss out on the fun, games, and treasures to claim in that hunt.

Tribute: Hunt for the 13th Casque
Why #1? The Secret Tribute: Hunt for the 13th Casque armchair treasure hunt is free to play. Although there are valuable gemstones to claim, the main prize is an original casque of The Secret Treasure Hunt by Byron Preiss. This treasure is priceless. When ‘Secret books’ go on Ebay for hundreds of dollars, and when the Golden Hare of Masquerade is auctioned for close to $30,000, what the value for a genuine casque of The Secret is ? no one knows. There hasn’t been another for sale. However, it is one of the best known armchair treasure hunts; being featured on Expedition Unknown and other major media sites.
