The Beacon Star is an armchair treasure hunt with a prize over $5000 dollars and a gold coin. Since it’s release in 2017, searchers have been wondering about the large puzzle covered in symbols on page 55. Many feel it could be used as a Map to the treasure.

The creator of the puzzle just released a PDF of this Puzzle Page for better viewing.  Those who had the Kindle version of the hunt struggled to see some of the symbols because of how Amazon converted the files for Kindle.  He offered a PDF for download on his Facebook Page.

Here is page 55. However, there are many other puzzles in the book, and a story, so it’s extremely doubtful the treasure hunt can be solved by just this one page.  It might end up being the Master page which combines clues given from all the other pages to find the treasure.

If you don’t have the book, you might wonder why would searchers feel a page full of hundreds of symbols would be a Map.

The answer is simple.  The story in the book suggests it.  In the story, one of the main characters named Cynthia pushes a piece of paper to a friend, which ‘was a grid of letters and symbols, hundreds of them, perfectly laid out.’

She then says,

“This is a bigger map.”

A map to what you might ask?

A magical source, of course.  And most likely the Treasure.  Which we have learned is $5000 in cash, a gold coin, and an additional dollar for each book sold.

At the end of the story, the map is understood and followed.  The source is found, but then forgotten again. It is believed this part of the story relates how to find the Beacon Star’s Treasure in the real world.  And there are possible clues given on how to decode or read the map in the story too.  It’s a truly fascinating story, as I mentioned in the introduction article for the hunt here on MW.

Even if not into puzzles, get the book! It’s available on Amazon for just $7.  It’s a short story of about 75 pages, but filled with mystery and adventure.  Kids would love it….and those of us who are still kids at heart.  I loved it.
