For the pokemon box update Jon wrote this:

Pokémon box: There are those of you who are in the right area, if not on the right track. I wonder, will this be the first box found?

Initially, searchers of the box were thinking they were only getting encouragement.  Which in actuality is all we need. It was Short and to the point. However, upon further inspection – it could hold a huge clue!

Many noticed the choice of words – ‘Right area’ and ‘Right track’ and thought that was suspicious. But Jon also asked if it might be the FIRST box found.

He used the word FIRST…..  which could have been a nudge to find the possible clue:

Pokémon box clue found in six questions

Stacey Toon shared on the MW Discord that the word TRAIN is found in the update. Taking the FIRST letters, which was possibly hinted to by Jon since he used the word First in the sentence, of

‘The Right Area. If Not’   –

TRAIN is seen.  All in order – with the word – TRACK soon following.

Train Track

A question remains – is it actually meant to be ‘TRAIN’ – or is it a play on ‘Col – TRANE’ –John Coltrane is mentioned in the book –   and so it could be one of his music TRACKS. In the Pokémon Chapter is the line we have questioned:

As we drove, we listened to some John Coltrane. It seemed appropriate.

Why was it appropriate? There have been lots of discussions about his Music – and songs. Of course Alabama is one of those songs.  It is a Train Track…..so to speak…

But there are other options that shouldn’t be dismissed. With Jon using the word First –  finding TRAIN by the first letters, and then the word TRACK in the sentence – and this linking back to the sentence about Jon COLTRANE – one has to wonder if ‘listening to John Coltrane’ was to always hint to TRAIN TRACK. An actual Train Track.

OR is it still a play on songs by John Coltrane – or something else?

It certainly seems to be leading us to the fact there is something here though.

What exactly ?  is for each of us to ponder…..
