Legend Has It is an exciting new armchair treasure hunt website! Their first hunt is called Dead Man’s Gold and takes place in Arizona. More hunts are being planned for other areas, even across the ocean!
The concept is simple.
A searcher purchases a PDF which holds clues to identify a specific area. After solving the clues, the searcher then goes BOTG (boots on the ground/physically travels) to find a KEY at the location indicated in the PDF by the clues.
The Key is a blanked out portion of a very precise landscape. This ‘image’ with blocked out ‘KEY’ is provided in the PDF. The ‘Key’ is a permanent object in the landscape, and can be recognized when in the correct area.
Once the ‘Key’ is found, a searcher takes a photo of that exact ‘landscape’ given in the PDF, now REVEALING the ‘KEY’s image’, to claim the ‘Treasure’.
The treasure is a cash prize. This cash prize is crowdsourced and grows as players join in on the adventures!
