Now let’s get to the search for the Treasure Man’s (H Charles Beil) Cache in Virginia by VAHistoryDigger!:
Six Questions with VAHistoryDigger:
- 1Q) What treasure were you searching for?
I’ve been addicted or obsessed as wife states to the Virginia Cache supposedly located in Amherst Virginia.
- 2Q) What inspired you to search for that treasure ?
I’ve been into relic recovery for many years , civil war encampments and battle fields along with old home sites. A close friend got me hooked on it and we have made some good finds over the years and had plenty of memorable experiences. Shark tooth and arrowhead collecting have also helped turn me into a treasureholic.
I’ve been aware of all the major lost treasure hunts, Forest Fenn and such but none were close enough to devote a lot of time to. When I read about Treasure Mans caches and saw several were close by, it got me pretty excited. I love a good hunt !
- 3Q) What did you enjoy most about your hunt?
Exploring new terrain and learning about a part of the country I have lived close to all my life, and being in nature by myself.
- 4Q) What did you enjoy least about your search ?
Nothing, steep terrain, bears and snakes, pouring down rain, it’s all good and things you don’t get exposure to on a daily basis.
- 5Q) What is the most unique thing you’ve found while searching ?
I don’t think the items are unique but I did come across a shard of blue and white crock ware and a zinc and glass mason jar lid.
- 6Q) Do you any advice for someone else looking for this treasure or is there something more you would like to say ?
This hunt is tougher than you would think, it involves a lot of second guessing the clues which are as I understand it limited to the video. Couple that with H’s habits and tendencies and you might get lucky !
