Higher and Higher, The Diamond Scrolls of Mysterious Writings, and The Treasure Chest Project

The book, Higher and Higher, encourages young listeners (and readers) to seek higher and higher, gaze beyond the furthest stars, and to travel where dreams wait to be discovered. But the book also sparked the question, ‘What happens to those wishes made upon the stars?’

Surely they’re not lost there……cast away without opportunity for ever being realized or truly embraced?

I couldn’t believe they were! So I decided to search through the Mysterious Writings’ secret files and shelves for answers…..and what I discovered, tucked away inside an old box, was a tiny piece of parchment. It’s writing revealed exactly what I would have imagined happens to those dreams and wishes made while gazing upon the stars:

How enchanting! Magical Diamonds hold dreams of yours and mine!  And they are out there waiting to be found and claimed….. They could be anywhere…

With that small piece of parchment, however, were Ten Scrolls, which contained clues to an exact spot where ten of those Diamonds wait to be found. On each of the ten scrolls was a note that stated:

“Only to whom dream belongs will discover where this diamond rests…… Search for clues here and far, but most of all, enjoy the Quest.”   

Mysterious Writings will be releasing The Diamond Scrolls, leading to these 10 Diamonds, in the coming months.  The first Diamond Scroll to claim Diamond #1 will be released on 3/20/21 in The Masquerade Tribute’s Collection of Treasure Hunts. 

Others will be released at various times throughout the next year, with the tenth, and The Last Scroll released on 2/13/22, marking the 10th anniversary of the website- Mysterious Writings!

Each of these 10 MW Diamonds are numbered. They are large, palm-sized Crystal Diamonds engraved with the number, ‘Always Treasure the Adventure’, and signed, MW (MysteriousWritings).

However, even now, many smaller diamonds are being found and hidden. This was inspired by my Children’s book Higher and Higher, and these are being hidden via The Treasure Chest Project. Albeit smaller, they too are magical diamonds. I included a few diamonds recently in ‘treasure baggies’. These are hidden and are waiting to be randomly found and held, for their dreams to come true.
