So how was FFGM treasure hunt #4 solved?

Here was the initial release on 10/10/20:

mw chase legacy forrest fenn gold medallion treasure hunt #4

I hadn’t provided a clue in November because I had been receiving emails from some searchers on the right path. There was just one small twist that needed done, which I decided I would give the clue on. I released the clue on 12/10/20. It was as follows:

Anyone who worked on Forrest Fenn’s Chase, would also know of the Six Questions I did over the years with him. There were 7, Six Questions, which would have been 42 ANSWERS from Forrest.

There are 42 numbers, and each number corresponded to the count of letters in each of his answers, in order they were given. These letters then needed rearranged according to ANSWERS, as the clue suggested. (ANSWERS in alphabetical order as a KEY, in one sense of the word- AENRSSW (1357246))

Part of the message I received from Andy was as follows:

I’ve been working at this one for a while, it was really bothering me.  I knew the numbers would get letters or words from a text because they did not seem to fit any kind of cipher (1, 2, or 3 digit numbers).  I also thought that the six questions with Forrest would be used, but I could not make any sense of it until the clue came out yesterday.  Last night it hit me that there were 42 numbers, and exactly 42 questions asked during the six questions with Forrest.  I played around with it a bit today and figured it out.

With this as the solution:

That quote from Forrest can be found on page 103 of The Thrill of the Chase……

Congrats again to Andy of NorthEast Treasure Hunts!

The next FFGM treasure hunt begins 1/10/21!
