The final season of the Game of Thrones is highly anticipated and fans are anxiously waiting for the final season to begin on April 14. To offer something for these fans to do in the meantime, however, HBO has launched a treasure hunt! A hunt for six Iron Thrones hidden across the globe! Will you be the one to claim a throne?
Clues to the locations of the Iron Thrones are being released on Game of Thrones’ social channels. Three hour long videos, with 360 degree viewability, have been released showing the first hidden Iron Throne sitting in a forest setting with moss covered rocks and boulders surrounding it. The videos are titled Dawn, Day, and Dusk.
It is unclear whether someone is just supposed to recognize the location, or if there are other cryptic clues given in the sounds, lighting, and/or image of the videos. Might the crows be Morse code or can the movement of the sun offer a hint to a general location for the Iron Throne? Is there more hidden in the images of the video? Until a Throne is claimed, it is unknown.
Searchers are already suggesting general locations all across the world: ‘I think it’s in New Zealand’ or ‘It looks like a rain forest in Portugal’.
Who will find The Iron Thrones? And what will they receive when they do? This is uncertain as well.
