In the prior weeks to release of the Masquerade Tribute Treasure HUNTS on 3/20/22 (Pre-Registration begins 2/15), I’ll be featuring each of the 2022 Contributors. There will be sneak peeks at their Puzzles and Treasures to claim. This year there are a total of six very talented creators donating their time, skill, and treasures for you to claim in the second annual event for charity. That means six different treasure hunts for you to enjoy- all wrapped up in one fantastic Tribute! All proceeds of this event are given to charity. Last year near $4,500 was given to three great causes. This year, another cause, TheSamFund.org for Cancer Survivors is added. Lot’s happening and lots of fun ahead!
To start, let’s learn more about Forgotten History Hunts!
Some of you may remember Forgotten History Hunts contributed a treasure hunt to the Masquerade Tribute in 2021. They generously offered to create another hunt for 2022! From last year’s feature we learned that one of the first hunts they ever worked on themselves was Masquerade, so the Tribute holds a special place in their heart. Many of you continued to follow the treasure hunting fun offered by Forgotten History Hunts on the MW Forum. They continuously release treasure hunts all year round. (ARCHIVED SECTION) Last fall, on their one year anniversary of creating treasure hunts, they posted a summary of the winners they had for their hunts.
It was incredible! They offered 17 hunts (all free to play), and had 32 different winners from 22 different states! They also shared they had given away over 60 prizes.

Each of their hunts provides the amazing chance to learn about some very interesting Forgotten History, of course – but they are also helpful in improving sleuthing skills and gaining practice in armchair treasure hunting. Their prizes are especially beautiful and unique – as often times they relate to the subject matter being explored, and enjoyed.

Their hunt for the 2022 Masquerade Tribute is entitled: Rex’s Adventure. It will be fully armchair. The treasure consists of coins, jewelry, and gemstones valued at approx. $300. It is only one of the six exciting hunts being offered. More sneak peeks ahead!
There are some exciting NEW details for the 2022 Masquerade Tribute. One of which are the Drawings for the Treasure Caches. In this year’s 2022 Masquerade Tribute are drawings for The Family Treasure Cache (value $100), The Seeker’s Treasure Cache (value $150), and The Collector’s Treasure Cache (value $250). Depending on registration level, you will be automatically entered into 1, 2, or all 3 of the drawings.
There are FIVE different levels of Registration.
- Donate over $19.79: Searcher will be registered for all Six Tribute Hunt Materials
- Donate over $30: Searcher will be registered for all Six Tribute Hunt Materials and receive one of the collectible Tribute Tokens sent to them for free.
- Donate over $50: Searcher will be registered for all Six Tribute Hunt Materials, receive one of the collectible Tribute Tokens sent to them, and be automatically entered in a contest drawing for Treasure Cache #1.
- Donate over $75: Searcher will be registered for all Six Tribute Hunt Materials, receive one of the collectible Tribute Tokens sent to them, be automatically entered in a contest drawing for Treasure Cache #1, and Treasure Cache #2.
- Donate over $100: Searcher will be registered for all Six Tribute Hunt Materials, receive one of the collectible Tribute Tokens sent to them, be automatically entered in a contest drawing for Treasure Cache #1, Treasure Cache #2 and Treasure Cache #3.
