The Thrill of the Chase by Forrest Fenn was a treasure hunt for a 10x10x5 inch bronze chest filled with over a million dollars worth of gold and other treasures.  The secreted cache was found in Wyoming by Jack Steuf in June of 2020. Exactly where in Wyoming remains to be publicly announced. Forrest Fenn hadn’t released the location, besides saying it was in Wyoming, before he passed away in Sept. 2020, and it has not yet been revealed by Jack, or others who might know.

The poem gave everyone the same opportunity to enjoy The Thrill of the Chase.  It was said the poem was all you needed to discover the location of his treasure. It alone held nine clues, that when understood and followed precisely, led a searcher to the 1150 AD bronze chest.

On June 6th, 2020, Forrest Fenn had sent an email to MW, and others, with the statement The Treasure was found. Over the next few days, months, and now soon to be a year, more information has been learned- except of course the public announcement of the exact location where the Treasure Chest was found.

MW had the pleasure of chatting with Jack in a Six Questions. Jack has also shared his thoughts on Medium, and with many others. While he doesn’t specifically say where the treasure was, he does offer what information he can, without feeling he’s giving too much away. He feels the location should be kept from becoming a ‘tourist destination’.

MW was forwarded a link from a searcher who is part of a group on Reddit. There was posted a Spreadsheet which has collected the emails and comments made by Jack since he has found the treasure chest. Those that the searcher was able to gather.
