Is this an Appalachian Footpath Treasure Box Clue?
Is the AT Treasure Box hidden Northeast of McAfee Knob, Virginia? I think it’s possible. Below I explain why (or you can watch on YouTube)

Many searchers feel that Mcafee Knob – a popular location along the Appalachian Trail – is featured on the treasure map in the AT box chapter. The likeness seems intentional.
To get the correct orientation of McAfee Knob, the map needs turned – taking the bottom left corner to the top right. This is the same way the map needs turned for the Green Mountain Trail to match up.
Because I feel both the Green Mountain Trail at Little Rock Pond in Vermont is a match – and also McAfee Knob – I kept wondering how they could work together.
I had an idea – which could be a possible clue towards the location of the treasure.
Mcafee knob is seen within the outline of a face… or within the face outline is Mcafee knob – whichever way you want to consider it. I feel these two items together could be a Rebus like puzzle to solve.
After you turn the map to match BOTH the trail and Mcafee knob… the face – is looking NorthEast.
McAfee Knob is in VA….. the face – looking Northeast – from McAfee Knob- could be hinting that the treasure is hidden Northeast of McAfee Knob on the AT.
That could be why the face and knob are shown together – to give a clue to look northeast of that point in Virginia. Somewhere along the Appalachian Footpath.
Something to think about!
