foggy-sceneryHi all, Below are 3Questions I had the great opportunity to ask Billy Forester.  It was posted in the MysteriousWritings Newsletter.

However, whether a subscriber or not to my newsletter, I am happy to share them here.  I think they are awesome and I appreciate Billy taking the time to answer them.  Enjoy!

Question 1:

As an active hunter for the treasure chest of Forrest Fenn, what are you enjoying most about the chase?

The Weekly Words on your site. I usually catch them on your Facebook page. The poem hasn’t changed since Forrest introduced it sometimes in late summer of 2010. Not a letter. The Weekly Words on Friday are like a chocolate surprise egg to all the searchers! First, we are all hoping the asker has presented a quality question to FF. Second, and most importantly, will he give away a subtle hint to an element in the poem?! *I believe every answer he has given contains faint traces to the proper solve.

What do you like least; anything?

This is easy. The verbal attacks on Forrest and his character / intentions. Its terribly disheartening. I’ll leave everyone with this thought: Religions and philanthropists aside, no human in the history of the world has so unselfishly left something behind for ALL of mankind to seek for pure enjoyment. We are witnessing something very special here. I pray people can just enjoy the hunt while it lasts.

*Pirates buried treasure to retrieve it later. They never left it for others.

*Captains never anticipated a storm that would wreck their plans and sink their cargo.

Question 2:

How long have you been involved in the Chase?

My lifelong friend Gary Vitello – he texted me from his California home in February 2015…all excited, “You gotta see something.. right up your alley ..”

He sent a link to an article about Fenn…and we have never looked back as search partners.

Do you think you will be involved until it is confirmed found, even if that is years to come or never in your lifetime?

I’ll be a looking until it’s found OR I can’t fog a mirror with my breath!

Question 3:

Do you ever doubt Forrest put the chest out there, as he said he did?

No doubt. 3 reasons why I know he did:

1) I was a professional actor for 25 years. High school to Hollywood. I “read people” for a living. When a ‘serious actor’ was across from me…I knew it. But even the serious actor would slip, and their “acting” would get in the way. We would start again on a different “take.” No actor can hold the intent of the scene forever. That goes for Forrest.

2)In poker, even the greatest players have a “tell” which reveals their true hand. Forrest has no ‘tell’ that screams he’s lying. His 5 cards have never changed. Doesn’t mean he’s not holding 5 aces.

3)Most importantly…He’s been asked direct questions by children at the bookstores or local forums. This is NOT the type of man who lies to kids. That’ll never happen. Ever.

What do you think when people say it’s just all a hoax or already found?

HOAX: Its real. I spoke with a lot of people in Santa Fe that knew Fenn in the day. Every one of them said, “It’s just like him to do something like this. He never went halfway with anything. He ain’t starting now.” *Those who say otherwise have an axe to grind for whatever reason.

ALREADY FOUND: The cleverest man in America is Forrest Fenn. I believe he has direct access to some eccentric tracking system working on solar power or some National Park webcam. If he says its “still there”…its still there! *I hope! Ha ha.

Thank you, Jenny!

Happy hunting, folks. See you down in the canyon.

    1. I’ve haven’t noticed Billy Forester’s name before, Illinoisghost.

That’s curious, indeed. Maybe one of Billy Forester’s BFFs can vouch for him. ???

Until then will just have to wonder.

Thank You, Jenny, for asking Billy (the kid?) those questions. And thank you, Billy, for answering them.

      1. Hi all, to answer this question about the amount of questions….. It is 3.

Now I know I ask more than 3, like I ask actually more than 6 in my SixQ’s, but I number them as 3 and 6. lol… sorry.
For this particular segment, there are only 3Q’s because this is a featured post (shortened version of 6Q) for my newsletter, but I wanted to share it with all here.

All the questions for my newsletter will be 3Q’s (OR numbered as such :)). And I do plan to be more consistent with my newsletter, and continue with 3Q’s with Treasure Hunter of the Month, but it won’t always be a hunter of the Fenn Treasure. Could be another hunt and treasure hunter of that hunt, since I do participate or are aware of many others.

So sorry for the confusion….but I hope that helps some….

best of luck with all that you seek! and always Treasure the Adventure! ~jenny

  1. Great Q and A Jenny-
Here are three more reasons Mr Fenn did what he said he did.
    1) Look at the legal issue he would have at this time if it was discovered to be a hoax!
    2) What would he gain by not hiding the chest? His reputation would be ruined.
    3) He could have made several times the value of the chest by now if he wanted to, So why not hide the chest?

    1. Dal Neitzel was in Yellowstone 11 days after I emailed him these coordinates on 8/30/2016 : 44.364881, – 110.287663. Check out his blog under “Searching in Montana and Wyoming”. It’s out of season to be out on the Promontory (July- August). Seriously doubt that he made it out there. I went there August 20th, 2016, no chest and no object resembling the image on Google Earth. What was it? You tell me. Or better yet, ask Dal.

      1. Don, your posted coords are off. There’s only 60 seconds in a longitude and you have 76.
I went with 56, and then just north of that I see a 1.5 foot, roughly square of something white or silver colored. Is that what you are talking about?
It could be anything. But it was there back in 2013 also.
Do you have a solve that leads you there?
I personally can’t get excited about the treasure chest sitting out in the middle of an open plains like that.

        1. You have to punch them into Google Earth as is. (44.364881, – 110.287663) If they don’t take you to the Promontory in Yellowstone Lake, looking at a dark brown box shape sitting on the ground, a “rockman” matching the “shadowman” on his book “too far to walk”, and a snow patch matching the image of a white horse blaze, you did something wrong.

          don91271
          1. My google earth coords aren’t right for some reason. I only know this because I just compared it to Google Maps and I see a problem.
Also, I had to remove the space you have between the – sign and the longitude coord numbers.

So I finally found your spot.
I see the white snow “blaze” easily.
I see a brown box if I am looking from a high altitude, it looses the box shape as I zoom in to more detail.
But I don’t see a shadow man at all. Even at various altitudes and at various history time frames (images taken from past years). My images are clear, I could see that 1.5′ white square I mentioned earlier. So I’m confused at what you see.

              1. Don, you could just post images on a web site and link them here so we can see what you are talking about.
Can’t you make it out there for a search? I always wonder why people give away this much info for such a large prize.
I don’t mean to be rude, I’m just sayin’.
I’m having my own issues for getting out to my own solve, and it looks more and more like it might be next year before I do. But I’m holding mine close to my vest because, well, I think it’s a really good solve. And yeah, I kind of want it all for myself, lol. (And my favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.) But maybe I’m all wrong too, so there’s that.
