Cache 2 of the Buried Caches of Treasure Man is one of the few without a key historical topic or story to research.  Clues directing a searcher to the hidden cache is by way of a video. Images of surrounding landmarks are shown within the video and a searcher merely needs to connect the dots for a final location.  The images are of the Natural Bridge, Blue Ridge Parkway, Otter Creek Trail System, and James River area of Virginia (and a few others).

As mentioned, for the Virginia Cache, clues are given in a video.

The Virginia Cache is not buried either, like some others are.  At least not in the way a shovel is required. It was buried on the surface under leaves in the Spring of 2014.  You can see a bit how in the video below.  And although HCB has stated the actual GPS location of the cache is not hidden in the National Park of the area, where metal detecting is strictly forbidden, one will not be needed anyway. Maybe take a small rake instead, and be very observant.  The cache container has been camouflaged.

Many searchers have been close to the cache, which contains Pearls and over 1000 old coins. They may have even walked right over it! As far as H. Charles Beil knows, however, it remains to be found.  No one has reported finding it.

While chatting with one of the searchers about the treasure cache,  HCB let it known the cache would be found near Otter Creek.  To keep things fair to all searchers, this specific information was posted on the TreasureIllustrated website within the cache #2 section.   Other images detailing the location are also on site there.

Otter Creek connects to the James River along the Blue Ridge Parkway at its lowest elevation.  It is an absolute beautiful location.   A description for the Otter Creek campground has this to say:

“A short walk along the Trail of Trees or a hike along the clear, cool waters of Otter Creek will give ample proof that there is more to the Blue Ridge Parkway than mountain-top vistas.”

That would be correct in more ways than they know.  There is a treasure cache hidden there too! It is being passed over and HCB is surprised it hasn’t been found yet.

With the colorful fall foliage coming, might this be a trip to make?  You can enjoy seeing the treasure of colors spread over the mountains, while searching for one of the Treasure Man caches.  Seems like treasure will be found one way or another!
