What an exciting announcement was made yesterday on The Secret: A Treasure Hunt Byron Priess Facebook Group. It was on an upcoming treasure hunt: The Search for the 13th Casque of The Secret.
That’s right. A 13th casque!
As many might know The Secret is an armchair treasure hunt book which was published in 1982. Twelve casques were buried across the states (and one in Canada) which contain a key. This key is used to claim a precious gem. Only 2 of the 12 casques have ever been found to date. One in 1984, and the other in 2004. The hunt for the remaining casques continues to this day by dedicated searchers and teams.
One of the most ardent teams for recovering the remaining casques is behind Shhh! The Secret Podcast, and they have recently acquired an ORIGINAL casque for The Secret treasure hunt. The one used to form the 12, of which 10 wait in the ground to be found.
We will find out in more detail on how all this came about in a later Six Questions with the creators. So stay connected! (sign up for the MW Newsletter or follow MW on Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter)
For now, though, the announcement. The team shared they will be introducing a new casque to the hunt, and it will be this very FIRST casque ever made for The Secret treasure hunt. How amazing! It will be buried in the ground, and a Verse and Illustration will be freely provided for anyone who wants to challenge themselves to the unearthing of the 13th casque.
Just like it was for The Secret treasure hunt, clues leading to the location of the casque will be hidden in the Verse and Image. If you can solve the clues, you then must go dig up the casque which will hold a key for you to claim a precious gem.
The gem for this casque is a 3 carat Pink Tourmaline, and is valued at around $1,500!
How exciting this is! Forget the gem (well not really), but to discover the first casque would be a treasure alone. It is being buried as a tribute to the friendships formed from the search and in honor of Byron Priess, creator of The Secret who tragically died in a car accident in 2005.
The hunt for the 13th casque is also being meticulously created to emulate, as closely as possible, as the hunt for the original 12. An immense undertaking, but displaying great respect for The Secret. The team has even induced Kit Palencar, son of John Jude Palencar, who was the original illustrator for The Secret, to produce the artwork for the project. The fact the casque is original, and obtaining Kit, makes this an exceptional tribute. An one of a kind and very special treasure hunt.
As mentioned, more information for all this will be upcoming…….. Be on the lookout for the Six Questions and the hunt’s release… we will share it here.
Treasures are out there to find!
Best of luck with all that you seek! Always Treasure the Adventure!
