Back in October, Dal and I mentioned our Websites (Dalneitzel.com and MysteriousWritings.com) would be teaming up to hold a design contest for NEW Forrest Fenn Gold Medallions.

Many of these Medallions will be hidden in the Appalachian Mountains for searchers to find.  This idea was inspired from the following famed Forrest Quote posted on MW in 2016,

The quote from Forrest was:

“I wish I had another treasure to hide in the Appalachians.” f

We are making that a reality!  These Gold Medallion Hunts will provide a bit of East Coast Treasure Hunting Fun!

The Design Contest Begins NOW!  What would you suggest as a design on the front of the Medallion?

Dal and I will be taking ‘design submissions’ from now (November 5th ) to Wednesday, November 21st for the creation of these Gold Plated Medallions.   A design for the Medallion will be chosen by Dal, Jenny, and one other, from all submissions sent in to us by November 21st, 2018, NOON EST.

The final design will be approved by Forrest Fenn himself, and the winner of the design contest will receive one of the Forrest Fenn Gold Medallions.

Here are the design contest details:

*They will be 2.5 Inch in diameter

*They will be gold plated

*They can include a limited amount of color to highlight certain features on the Medallion

*They will NOT be numbered

*Although they will be double sided, one side is going to include a ‘special doodle’ by Forrest Fenn himself.  This side will also hold Forrest Fenn’s Poem.

SO….. only ONE SIDE needs to be designed by YOU!  What would you like to have on it?

Please send your submission to either:

info@mysteriouswritings.com or dal@lummifilm.com with the subject heading ‘FFGM Design’.

NOTE: Forrest Fenn Gold Medallion Treasure Hunt details will be forthcoming!

For now, let’s create an absolute awesome design for these Special Gold Medallions honoring the Thrill of the Chase by Forrest Fenn!

Best of luck with all that you seek!  Always Treasure the Adventure!

    1. This is undecided as of now….

The initial/first minting for the Treasure Hunts will not, but depending on demand, we are keeping the option open to mint more later (and if so, these would be marked differently in some way).

          1. Would it be possible to take the same design of the found coins, shrink it a little and place it in another coin so that the circle is within the circle of the sold coin? Offset to one side with something in the space, like maybe “SOLD VERSION?” Those words seem a little lacking in savoir faire, but I hope you get the idea.
