The release of The First Annual Masquerade Tribute is on Saturday, 3/20/21! Nine different treasure hunts with nine different treasures to claim, and with even an incredible bonus treasure to claim for the last hunt solved! It’s going to be thrilling from start to finish!
I’m happy to be one of the hosts for The Masquerade Tribute, and appreciate ALL those who are donating to the 3 great charities chosen for this year’s causes. And thanks again to all the contributors, who have given their time and talents to offer such creative and fun puzzles.
It certainly is the community and team which is making this Tribute such a great success!

The Masquerade Tribute is not only going to be the treasure hunt of the year….but is going to be the ‘treasure hunt’ of EACH year! An event no serious armchair treasure hunter will want to miss!
If not registered for the hunt yet, there is still time! There is actually time until the last hunt is solved as a matter of fact! When will that be? It is difficult to say. Will the nine ‘treasure hunts’ of the Tribute be quickly solved or will they go right up to the end date of 12/31/21? WE DON’T KNOW!
That’s part of what makes this so exciting!!
Over the last weeks, I have been providing short summaries on all the contributors of The Tribute and giving sneak peeks of their hunts. These are all listed on the Tribute Summary page for any you may have missed.
Which does lead to myself, as one of the contributors…… I can quote my usual clip: “Along with being an author, Jenny is a historical researcher, game enthusiast, and founder of Kardtects Building Cards. She manages a few websites dedicated to these various interests. Join the adventures!”
But to add something ‘new’ to the common jaunt? My husband and I live on our hundred acre farm in central/northeast Pa, where we raised our 4 kids and own a construction business. And now, as basically ‘empty nesters’, we are expanding into some other investments and projects.
Mysterious Writings will also be celebrating its 10th anniversary come next February. Although I have enjoyed games and puzzles all my life, I hadn’t started the MW website until well into my journey of ‘puzzling fun and games’. The site quickly became the leading website on Armchair Treasure Hunts, and continues to be so.

And to celebrate MW’s upcoming anniversary, MW is rereleasing 10 Diamond Scroll treasure hunts throughout the next year, with The Last Diamond Scroll released on 2/13/22- the date marking the first post on MW ten years previous!
The release of The Masquerade Tribute will be the debut of the First MW Diamond Scroll Treasure Hunts. Here is a sneak peek at that hunt, Higher and Higher’ and one of the Diamonds!
The prizes for the MW Diamond Scroll treasure hunts will all include a Large palm sized Crystal Diamond, each numbered, 1 thru 10, and engraved with ‘Always Treasure the Adventure’- MW’s motto. As in The Masquerade Tribute, there are additional prizes, but the MW Diamond is one of the treasures to claim.
