But now let’s get to the search for a Treasure Man’s (H Charles Beil) Cache by ‘Three Anonymous Searchers’!
- 1Q) What Treasure were you searching for?
- 2Q) What inspired you to search for that treasure?
It’s the closest to us all, so it made for a good weekend trip, and an excellent way to meet some new searchers!
- 3Q) What did you enjoy most about your search?
It was excellent to meet another local searcher, get to know each other, and spend a beautiful fall day in the mountains! We were also about to check out some ruins up that way, and identify an old road that the Blue Ridge Trail was built next to.
- 4Q) What did you enjoy least about your search?
Not finding the cache! I also almost walked into a GIANT WASP NEST! I ran like a screaming girl from it.
- 5Q) What is the most unique thing you found while searching?
Well… We broke out the metal detector and found an old air filter and an old beer can. It was interesting to see some of the random junk people dropped in the area when the restaurant was more active.
- 6Q) Do you plan on looking for others, have any advice for someone else looking for this treasure, or is there something more you would like to say?
Yes! I’ll absolutely be going up to Keating and Salem when the Spring hits. Maybe check out the NC Cache, too!
