Get your Quest on with MW! This is the place to learn about treasures! Over the last few months, a few new Armchair Treasure Hunts have been released. These are in addition to the many already listed on MW and the MW Forum! Below is a brief summary of these new hunts with links to find further information on how you can get started and find their hidden treasures!
Trove: UPDATE: TREASURE FOUND Trove is an armchair treasure hunt book by Sandra Miller. A coded stone is hidden somewhere in the New England States. Searchers who find this stone by solving the Ten Clues (being released through September thru December 2019 via her website and involving her book) can claim a jeweled bracelet valued at $2,200 dollars.
TTCP/MW Treasure Hunts: From the Vault of Forrest Fenn: UPDATE: TREASURE FOUND X marks the day for these hunts. On the 10th/X of each month, a TTCP/MW Treasure Hunt Puzzle is released. The first five hunts will include a special prize from the vault of Forrest Fenn. The Treasure Chest Project (TTCP) encourages the sharing of smiles to random finders of hidden treasures! Join the X-Club, hide a treasure, and give a smile. But also join the adventures and claim a Treasure from the Vault of Forrest Fenn yourself! Smiles are given all around at MW!
The Lost Skull: UPDATE: TREASURE FOUND The Lost Skull is an armchair treasure hunt by Robert Brewer . Inside his book are clues to claim a beautifully crafted marble Skull and $1000 cash! A Runner Up prize of $500 cash, along with Champion prizes of signed collectible Skulls, are also available! There is a ‘prize’ for anyone who completes the challenge- sooner or later. Awesome!
It’s In Los Angeles: UPDATE: TREASURE FOUND It’s in Los Angeles is an armchair treasure hunt book by Darien Gillen. Inside his book (PDF or Print available) are clues to a hidden Brass Key which is used to claim the $500 cash prize (at least- as sales of the books expand, so will the cash prize amount). Searchers are told to read the instructions, solve the clues, and find the treasure! Is it in Los Angeles? We don’t know!
The Tone in the Tree: UPDATE: TREASURE FOUND The Tone in the Tree by Nickolas Nelson is a hunt for a hidden treasure valued at around $1,000. The PDF, (downloadable free from the MW Forum), contains all the clues needed to discover the location of this treasure- thought to be near Mount Desert Island, Maine, somewhere. Kodewords Kards: UPDATE: TREASURE FOUND Soon to be released (11/26/19) and sure to be fun is Kodewords Kards! Decks of Kodewords Kards contain clues to solve for a final Kodeword. The first person to find and report the final Kodeword will win $500 cash. Another prize of $500 cash will be awarded to the first person to find and report ALL of the Kodewords found in the treasure hunt Deck. The hunt will be available to everyone -via a downloadable PDF to print off your own Deck of the Kodewords Kards. Information on the MW Forum!
The Golden CD: UPDATE: TREASURE FOUND This is a musical treasure hunt! The Golden CD treasure hunt by BornTalent involves the solving of clues hidden within a musical CD. There are 5 songs which hold the clues. Can you decipher them? The first person who can decipher the clues will be able to follow a path to a CD with a printed code. This is used to claim a treasure, currently valued at $2,000!
Forrest Fenn Gold Medallion Treasure Hunts: Series Two! Last year marked the successful and exciting launch of the Forrest Fenn Gold Medallion Treasure Hunts! Numerous searchers waited anxiously for the release of the hunts throughout the off season of The Thrill of the Chase. Searchers were thrilled for their chance to be the first to solve the clues and claim one of the highly collectible Chase Medallions! Coming January 2020 will be Series two! Stay tuned for the most exciting adventures yet!
Gallows Harbor: Gallows Harbor is an upcoming treasure hunt is by H. Charles Beil, aka The Treasure Man. MW readers are already familiar with his many hidden treasure caches, but coming later in 2020 will be his largest hidden treasure cache and hunt to date! Clues will be hidden within a series of books. The first book being titled Gallows Harbor: Blood Feud. The value of the treasure will far surpass the value of all his previous hidden caches put together and will be scattered in multiple caches for searchers to discover! Will you find one?
