In the back of my book, Armchair Treasure Hunts: The Quests for Hidden Treasure, are words from Forrest Fenn that are especially for searchers of the Chase. However, they are in code- which goes along with the flowing and fun theme of the book.
Although I have shared Questions and Answers on the MW Forum about them, I thought it best to go over them here as well.
Below is an image of the last page, and you can see the code at the bottom.
It cannot be solved by this page alone. The book is needed to solve the code. And this is one of the first Questions, so let’s get to them!
Watch on Video or Read Below:
Q) Is the code self contained and all that is needed to solve it is on the last page.
A) No, other book pages are needed to solve the code. Discover and follow the clues.
Q) Other than general knowledge of how some ciphers work, do I need any other resource to solve the Fenn code, or is everything I need found inside your book? As an example: do I need a copy of TTOTC.
A) All is in the book.
Q) Did Forrest create the code?
A) Forrest was aware of what I was doing, and gave me the words to encode. I encoded them.
Q) Has anyone solved the code yet?
A) No, however, a few seem to have identified some significant hints on how to go about solving it.
(Not that I know of)
Q) Do the words give a clue?
A) It would be for each person to decide. They are very interesting.
Q) When will we know if someone solved the code?
A) Only if they publicly share that they did will we know. If someone feels they have, and wants confirmation of the answer, they can email me. If they ask for it to stay ‘secret’, I will honor that. However, if solved correctly, there should be no doubt. (so if there is a doubt- you most likely don’t have the correct solution)
Q) Where do you even start with those numbers?
A)You might want to look at the MW Treasure Hunt: The Forgotten Word in the book, worth $500 cash. Although not solved exactly the same, there are similar elements. I feel the person who solves the Forrest Fenn words, will solve the puzzle, or vice versa. NOT that either is linked in order to find a solution for one or the other, they are completely independent and stand on their own, but they use similar methods to come to a solution.
Q) Are you going to reveal the words on a given date?
A) I know there are many having fun trying to solve them, and I believe they will be solved, so no need to reveal them myself. The more people working on it, the quicker they will be solved. And I know those who solve them will like them very much– because as mentioned they are especially for searchers and might hold a hint on how to find the treasure chest.
So there you have the current Q/A’s (as of this posting).
A Discussion Section for how to solve the code can be found on the MW Forum. Join us there, and let’s get these solved!
Best of luck with all that you seek! Always Treasure the Adventure!
Thanks Jenny,
I have tomorrow off and now I know what I will do with it.
–“having fun trying to solve them, and I believe they will be solved” Wow Jenny, you are beginning to write like Forrest!
-p
Um- book code maybe? Page, line, and letter, number?
Thanks for the reminder Jenny! I’m ordering your book this weekend, looks like fun! Crunching numbers with Jenny and Forrest!
What do I see? Boxcars? Pair o’dice? Probability? What are the odds? 1 in 36? Roll’em. 🎲🎲🎬🎥😎… I feel lucky. 😂
How will the Chase end? For now it’s up in the air.
In craps, the one roll bets have the biggest chance of loosing, however, of those, boxcars do have the highest payout. Of course if you know how to slide a six on one die, you double your chances of winning…but that is cheating and will get you 5-10 in the state pen, and you’ll lose all of your accumulated comps.
Years ago, I was in Trump’s Casino in Atlantic City, NJ and was up over $3k on the crap table farming the field. The croupier began to insult me hoping to put me on tilt and break my rush (a gaming phenomena where someone is in the zone). He shouted “No Bet!” claiming my bet was late…after the dice came to a halt…of course I argued because the bet was in my favor. It got pretty heated and the crowd was spellbound to see who would win this fight. I then touted: Sir! havent you ever heard the expression that the customer is Always Right?!!! To which he replied: “That’s true young man; Everywhere Except in a Casino!” Well, everyone had a good laugh and the casino won that night…again. My hard earned advice is: Stay away from the casino.
Hello TomSquared –
You’re a good storyteller.
Awww shuxx Lucky, Thankyou!
I sure like telling stories, especially when they are triggered by a neglected memory freshly lit in some small corner of my mind while listening to another. I really enjoy writing, but have no formal education on how to do it properly…punctuation, grammar and other rules etc. One of my dreams is to write a great story about Forrest Fenn and The Thrill of The Chase…one day…soon.

Hello Pdenver-
Now your starting to worry me. 😥
Good one!
Lol LuckyGuy!
Took a peek at the book late last night and felt a bit puzzled with the code. I’ll view the video. Thank you, Jenny.
80 numbers listed, 80 is highest number in sequence.. 215 pgs in book (or 214 pages to “point” to).. not certain dice play a roll (yuk yuk), but they might
given the 1 – 9 sequence within the 80 starts with 6, dice probably are used
Unless I’m not understanding something here, I have to say I’m a little disappointed with the process. NOT that I don’t respect the proprietors freedom to do as they please, but since ttotc clues are sprinkled throughout multiple books, doesn’t this tilt favor towards those that can afford to buy all of the books? This would be additionally surprising to me, given that a particular point brought out in the ttotc is the idea of equality. Granted, if individuals solve related puzzles from the additional books and share their find, that would render my point moot, but there’s no guarantee that would happen.
Disappointment is one thing, but i’m not sore at all.. if i’m correct about the setup, it just strengthens my resolve to be an underdog 🙂
You don’t need another book to find the treasure. The poem, the map and TTOTC is sufficient. My opinion.
Good Luck to you, UnderDog…I mean HappyThoth.
Keep on shining…and not just shoes…

Underdog Theme Lyrics
There’s no need to fear, Underdog is here.
When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The cry goes up both far and near for
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog.
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog.
When in this world the headlines read
Of those who’s hearts are filled with greed
And rob and steal from those in need.
To right this wrong with blinding speed goes
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog.
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog.
And thank you, Jenny and Forrest.
I thoroughly enjoy the signed copy of your book, Jenny.
Hey, I resemble that remark…about underdog.
Bombshell: The Chase is an intelligence test!
My opinion. It’s fair. It’s unbiased. It’s fully compartmental. No external knowledge gives anyone an advantage.
An intelligence test any joker can pass.
It will also test your sense of humor. No extra charge for that.
My wife would explained it this way. “So having read a poem you’ve decided to look for a 10”x10”x5” box which could be buried as much as 3 feet deep anywhere in the Rocky Mountains. And now you’re gonna try to convince me you’re smart too?
Sum jokers just don’t get it.
Getting buy-in from my wife Is like … It’s kind of like negotiating with a terrorist. I just know this is going to cost me a lot of money and aggravation.
How exciting jenny! Looks like I’ll need to place an order!

NEWBIES
🐾
My best advice for new searchers is to start with the poem and the map at the back of the book Too Far To Walk. But it’s best to bite the bullet and get all three books TTOTC, TFTW and OUAW to give yourself a fighting chance to compete in the field. Formulate your solve without too much influence from the blogs. 🐾 In my humble opinion, the treasure will not be recovered until next year (so really you’ve got a chance). 🐾 If you are going into the mountains for BOTG take a friend or two and take bear spray. Make personal safety your highest priority. Try not to do anything stupid. Good luck. 😎
If everyone keeps throwing date of the great find out there someone is bound to be right sooner than later. Personally I think it’s already over and will never be recovered in fenns lifetime.
Hello Sammy –
A little impatient are you? I’ll bet ff never anticipated that the the most difficult part of the Chase would be the finder’s spouse.
Bet you don’t even know the half of it. Probably lots of little barriers that effect the big picture.
Sammy –
Point taken.
Armchair Treasure Hunts may or may not help you find the Fenn treasure, but this book can put you on the trail to lots of other treasure hunting opportunities … you know … if you’ve discovered that treasure hunting is your thing. 💰😎💰
That’s cool but I got plenty of money and I just like sitting on the porch
As for me, I don’t mind saying that if Beth hadn’t backed me 100%, I never would have made even one trip, let alone 6-
🙂
hide and seek
the kees are under the hide
Yes I think that noone knows that.
He Dies Naked
Die snake hed?
free dumb?
those things not worthy
This would be a good name for a band.
So until this code is broken Jenny is the only searcher that know these interesting words?
This code will probably not be broken by an average Joe.
Ordered my autographed copy…oh yeah! Thank you Jenny and Forrest!
Advantage FF? The house always wins?
No advantage only a deterrent like deet.
Although tennis and casinos are shown in the description, your questions are interesting. Mr. Fenn is currently at least one step ahead in regards to searchers figuring out the poem. As for the house always wins, I believe is yet to be determined if searchers understand the poem and locate the treasure chest. How would you answer your questions, LuckyGuy?
Hello Pdenver –
I don’t really have any questions. I’m in the same boat as ff. Having fun, chillin, stirring things up on occasion and stalling until the treasure chest has been recovered.
Thanks all for the positive reception on my book. It was a true joy to write, and I’m receiving great feedback on it.
Besides just including and organizing the Forrest Fenn Material, it does have it’s own treasure hunt worth $500 cash, multiple other fun codes to try and solve, and summaries on over 20 other treasure hunts. As mentioned in the Q/A’s, the FF words are solved similar to The Forgotten Word Treasure Hunt with the cash prize.
I also want to say, that if discussions on the MW Forum ( http://mysteriouswritings.proboards.com/ ) get going on how to solve the FF Words in it’s section there, indicating searchers are interested in knowing what they are, I will be able to post clues towards helping to solve them– realizing what searchers are trying to do. I have received some recent emails and have offered guidance. I would love them solved, and it might take some teamwork/discussions to do it.
Thanks again…… Always Treasure the Adventure!
Hello Jenny,
Tried spending time to decode the words by Mr. Fenn, and the rate I’m going, I think I’ll find the treasure chest first. (Giggle.) 🙂
Summer ends Saturday, September 22. 🚧
66 => ff => Forrest Fenn
dice => bones
🎲🎲 … ? … ☠️☠️
Lots of bones in the special place, probably haunted also. I have no doubt the Billy the kid crossed the hudson river to arrive at his hideout but like every old trail it always turns cold and comes to a dead end. From there you just have to use intuition and a little imagination mixed with some good old redneck logic. I have to ask myself what would Billy do and being the outlaw he was what is his motivation? He obviously had no respect for the law or the court system.
6x6x2 or could it be 6633 twice, probably not f also said a word that is key and if you simplify that word wouldn’t it be key? He also said you don’t have to break anything so without the key where does that leave you? two seemingly off the cuff statements that lead to a completed dead end.
Also if you don’t have to break anything wouldn’t that mean there is no code to break? He talks in circles so I don’t think you can put much stock into anything but the poem that has a hitching cadence. But we are not talking about that here. Because the code and the poem stand alone. Right?
The closer you get to the treasure, the more ff “messes” with you. My opinion.
Messes could be considered a very poor choice of words. In my opinion 2010 seems to be key for some reason.
I might need a key.
No. The key is in the poem. 🗝
Sounds like you have a lot of keys, LuckyGuy.
Just one.
I would take it to be a skeleton key, no doubt.
You’re getting too clever, pdenver. I’m gonna need to stop giving you hints. Remind me next week.
Skeleton = x-ray = atomic = nuclear, so whoever is getting messed on is going to drop the bomb. The repercussions should be heard at least 196 feet away. Who the hell is Ray? Thats the big QUESTION.
Perhaps Ray is Raytheon if you’re talking about bombs.
Maybe but I don’t think that is the correct spelling. It really doesn’t matter; I don’t think anyone will figure out who Ray is unless Ray wants them to.
Ray is orange.
No hint? Forrest gave many hints to the poem!
