1908: March 20 Forrest Fenn’s Mother was born: Lillie Gay Simpson (Fenn) (died 10/4/1979) (age 71)
1926: Forrest Fenn’s Parents Got Married
1928: July 25 Forrest Fenn’s Brother was born: Skippy (William Marvin Fenn Jr.) (died 1978)
1930: August 22 Forrest Fenn was born in Temple Texas
1932: June 24 Forrest Fenn’s Sister was born: June Gay Fenn (Heath) (died 11/08/2002)
1932: November 16 Forrest Fenn’s Wife born: Peggy Jean Proctor
1939: Forrest found his first arrowhead at age 9. He often refers to this as his beginning to The Thrill of the Chase
1946: Forrest went looking for Lewis and Clark with Donnie (Story in TTOTC)
1950: Forrest joined the Air Force
1953: Forrest married Peggy
1959: Forrest’s first daughter Zoe was born
1960: Forrest’s second daughter Kelly was born
1965: Forrest won the silver bracelet (in the treasure chest) from a bet with Bryon Harvey (story in TTOTC page 130)
1968: December 2: Forrest shot down first time
1968: December 20: Forrest shot down second time
1968: December 22: Forrest returns to the waterfall in Vietnam (Story in TTOTC)
1968: December 24: Forrest returns home to his family in Lubbock, Texas
1970: Forrest retires from Air Force. Served 20 years
1972: Forrest and family move to Santa Fe. Founded Fenn Galleries
1978: Forrest’s brother Skippy died
1979: Forrest’s mother died
1980: Forrest publishes The African Animals of W.R. Leigh (Forrest dedicates this to his parents)
1983: Forrest publishes The Beat of the Drum and Whoop of the Dance
1987: Forrest’s Father died by taking his own life after fighting pancreatic cancer
1988: Forrest diagnosed with cancer
1988: Forrest sold Fenn Galleries
2001: Forrest publishes The Genius of Nicolai Fechin
2002: Forrest’s sister June died
2004: Forrest publishes The Secrets of San Lazaro Pueblo
2007: Forrest publishes Historic American Indian Dolls
2007: Forrest publishes Seventeen Dollars a Square Inch
2007: Forrest publishes Teepee Smoke (reword of The Beat of the Drum)
