What are the Clues in Third Stanza?
The clues in Justin’s treasure poem, once understood correctly, will lead to a hidden million-dollar treasure cache. The clues must lead to a location on a map. Therefore, the poem lines should connect or be married to locations on a map.
Which phrases, words, or lines in Stanza 3 might link to locations and act like a map?
Let’s break down each line – considering ideas and thoughts
In ursa east his realm awaits;
In ursa east
- ursa – bear
- ursa east – bear east (directional clue)
- ursa – not capped suggesting the constellation Ursa Minor (not Major)
his realm awaits;
- it awaits in ursa east. Ursa is not capped – possibly suggesting Ursa Minor – not Major. In Ursa Minor is the North Star or Polaris. Both are mentioned in the book. So ‘his realm’ could be Polaris
- his realm could also be some place in the book that links to the North Star
His bride stands guard at ancient gates.
His bride
- a place married to on a map from ‘his realm’- MORE HERE
- Sacagawea location
- other location with a ‘bride’ connection
stands guard
- ‘bride’ location found at front of ‘ancient gates’
ancient gates
- Mountain gates
- Gates of the Mountain – Helena MT
- Two mountains on either side – Pioneer Mountain Scenic Byway
- Two mountains which cause it to be impassable during winter
Her foot of three at twenty degree,

at twenty degree
- take an azimuth at this location (support from symbol in book)
Return her face to find the place.
Return her face
- Mirror something
find the place
- find location of treasure
Third Stanza Location Theories
- If ‘in ursa east his realm awaits’ equates to Polaris (the North Star in the constellation Ursa Minor), and if we ‘marry’ the celestial to the earthly realm – his bride is Polaris or a North Star location on a map.
