As many of you know, over the past years, we’ve offered different Friday segments with Forrest Fenn on Mysterious Writings. I think the first one was Friday’s Fenn Favorite— which shared favorite quotes of Forrest’s. It moved then to Weekly Words, with sometimes being inclusive of the Featured Questions– which were anytime—not just Friday.
But recently on the MW Forum, we started another Friday segment– Forrest Fenn Friday— which is where we ask questions about certain things Forrest has said to spark thoughts.
We thought it only natural to expand this to our MW YouTube Channel. (Subscribe today)
Below is the video of Forrest Fenn Friday: Questions on The Thrill of the Chase Treasure Hunt: How Far?
We believe before you can get the right answers, you have to ask the right questions. So each Friday we are going to ask a question pertaining to the Chase.
Our goal or hope is that they can help you narrow down or confirm your search areas.
So the first episode is based off a featured question which was asked in June 2014 on MW:
“Are you willing to say whether the place of the treasure chest is the same as the one where you had previously plotted to have your bones rest forever?”~anonymous
Dear Anon, I feel somewhat disadvantaged since you chose to not identify yourself but I will answer your question anyway.
Yes it is. f
From this question and answer, searchers might want to ask themselves if their location is off the beaten path enough to let a body rest and not be discovered. And another question might be how ‘far’ does that have to be? What do you think?
We know that Forrest went to the location from his car, twice, in one afternoon. So is it a mile? Which is 4 miles he walked total….….Is it two miles? Two miles seems a bit too far as that would make Forrest having to walk 8 miles total in that one afternoon.
We know from Surprise Words on MW in July 2016 that – “If you’re walking long distances in search of the treasure, you’re walking too far.”
Seems that it can’t be too far from where Forrest was able to park his car. But what do you think?
Please share your thoughts in comments below, in comments on YouTube, or on the MW Forum.
