What are Este’s Quest Treasure Hunts?
Este’s Quest treasure hunts are 30-day treasure hunts for a hidden gold coin. The first person to find that coin will also receive a growing cash bounty. These are offered a few times a year by Este’s Quest YouTube Channel.

What are the clues for Este’s Quest?
There are two types of clues for Este’s Quest: Public and Private (Free or Paid)
Public clues: released on Este’s Quest YT channel. These are mostly puzzle clues and shrinking area clues.
Private clues: released on Este’s Quest Private Discord. Participants who have paid will gain access to the private discord channel where expanding out images of the coin’s actual location will be posted each day during the hunt – allowing for more information to be gathered as to exactly where the coin is hidden.
How Can I Join Este’s Quest Treasure Hunt?
To play for free follow Este’s Quest social channels. Este’s Quest YouTube Channel, or Instagram
To play as a paid participant – receiving more clues to identify the location faster – join the private discord channel for its particular quest.
Who Created Este’s Quest and Why?
Este’s Quest is created by Esteban Limon. The first hunt was inspired by Project Skydrop. Like Project Skydrop, the public received a shrinking circle of where the Gold Coin is hidden. This circle continued to shrink each day until the exact location was pinpointed on – not later than November 17.
Private clues, which were more helpful to identify the location of the hidden coin were also given.
Esteban had this to say about his hunt in the MW Discord:
That’s what I want to deliver – my day to day job is all about customer satisfaction and service – and I use that a lot in my approach to designing Este’s Quest. End of the day I want everyone who participates (free or paid) to come away feeling like they were on some great adventure, the mental challenge and then thrill of solving puzzles, the excitement of having a hunch/guess and seeing it was correct, and also a sense of community.

Este’s Quest #1 Overview:

- BOTG required (hidden somewhere in SouthEast US)
- Clues are online – various cryptic clues, (public) and expanding images of exact location (private $10)
- Treasure: Gold Coin plus growing bounty
- End date: 11/17/24
Each day a circle shank. The gold coin was hidden somewhere within that circle. The public received cryptic clues throughout the hunt on the YT Channel and the shrinking circle clue – Paid participates received those as well as photos of the actual treasure location – expanding out.
Este’s Quest #2 Overview:
- Hunt released 12/28/2025
- BOTG required – hidden somewhere in the Mojave Desert
- Clues were both public and private (Youtube and private discord)
- Treasure: Gold Coin (approx $3000)
- End date: Found on 1/16/2025
