The Gargaphia Armchair Treasure Hunt continues to challenge hunters! There are four stages to the treasure hunt, and all four remain unsolved. Robert Jones, author and creator of Gargaphia, encourages anyone to join in the adventures have some fun, and to try and claim the treasures.
The first treasure that can be claimed is $1,000 Cash! The first person who solves Stage 1 will receive this bonus prize. They can also choose a charity of choice for another $1,000 cash to be given to.
The ultimate treasure, however, consists of over a thousand pieces collected from all over the world! In a previous Six Questions, Robert shared a few of the items when asked. He says,
‘There are the usual suspects such as gold coins, bars, and fine silver. But then I’ve added some very interesting antiques and collectibles. For example, a 19th century clarinet, a German silver flintlock pistol, some sports memorabilia, and even a blunderbuss.” (Read more on MW).
Recently, Robert has released a new clue for Stage One on his Facebook Page! It is as follows:
“I know a lot of us are cooped up! So, I’ve decided to release a hint to the Gargaphia Treasure hunt for everyone! This hunt is set up so you can’t guess the correct response. You must use the stage 1 clue to come up with the answer. In the stage 1 clue (given on the website), the hunter will be able to find a pattern. Once found, the hunter will be able to solve the puzzle. So, find the pattern, break the code, and solve stage 1!”
We learn in the Six Questions that in order to solve the first stage puzzle the book is required (print or kindle).
Discussions are currently happening on the MW Forum. The first stage puzzle is published on the Gargaphia Website and is the string of numbers. It’s been mentioned on the MW Forum by username aloftcroft that the numbers appear as a set of 9, and these might relate to the first nine sentences in the first cluetext block. Each sentence might match up to a section in the book? Great idea!
Robert has mentioned he feels what he has created is completely unique, but yet anyone can solve this!
