Does Forrest Confirm the Last Clue is the Blaze in his Treasure Hunt Poem? Let’s take a look:
In a recent audio interview, Forrest says:
“When you get to the last clue, look down because that’s where the treasure chest is.”
Since a section of the poem is:
If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
….. it seems, for many, that comment highly suggests the Blaze is the last clue. But maybe it doesn’t confirm it. Let’s look some more….
Many already had a strong feeling the Blaze was the last clue from a Featured Question on MW posted in July 2016. Forrest had confirmed the Treasure would be found if you look quickly down from the Blaze. These two comments together seem to offer confirmation that the Blaze is the Last Clue.
Here is the Question:
Q) Mr. Forest, I was just wondering. If I can find the blase, why should I worry about where warm waters halt? All I need to do is look “quickly down” like the poem says, and there is the treasure, right? ~ Philadelphia Franklin
A) That’s correct Philly, but that’s not a plausible scenario. If you can find a fish already on your hook you needn’t go fishing, right? Don’t force those kinds of aberrational thoughts on yourself or you’ll likely walk back to your car with a very light back pack. f
If we consider these two responses, and the fact Forrest has said he doesn’t intentionally mislead searchers, it seems clear that the last clue is the Blaze: Because whether you look down, or quickly down, the Treasure Chest is there and can be found. Forrest says that happens with the Blaze in the Q on MW, and with the Last Clue in the recent video. The treasure can’t be in two places.
To most, this confirms the last clue is the Blaze. Most likely the only ones who would debate it are the ones who have ‘solutions’ which would be negated because of it.
From this, since Forrest has also confirmed the first clue is WWWH, it can be understood that all Nine Clues in the Poem are in the following lines:
This doesn’t mean the rest of poem isn’t important….of course it is! But after following the clues from WWWH to the Blaze, you look quickly down and your quest will cease. The treasure is there to find.
Just as Forrest has said in the poem, and in additional comments after publishing the poem.
