  1. E.C. Waters, I believe your are correct that mindful is an important word.
    Mindful means aware.

Aware-having knowledge or discernment of something. Vigilant, watchful.
A-ware. As is says in the poem. I can keep my secret where. Or wear?
Watchful and vigilant like a caretaker or curator or sentinel. Hmmmm. Interesting.

Or burn the midnight oil. The Burnt hole?

Very hintful indeed E.C. I will have to take a more keen look at this.

    1. DPT (I’ve tried a few of those Shulgin concoctions myself)… “Sentinel” has popped up a bit for me too. Secret wear, yes but I like weir better. I have a ton of those, but none of it matters unless you understand how the poem is organized.

I found something in the poem. I think if I said it, most folks would gasp that they’s missed something so simple all these years. It’s directions to the final location; the end of the solve. The problem is that I still don’t know the general location. I have some ideas — but I’m not flying anywhere without a perfect, completely buttoned-up solve.

I believe the complete solution may take multiple perspectives. At this point I’m open to bang heads together with someone who is obsessed yet owns a strong moral compass.

Jenny — Are there any collaborating Fenn Treasure groups that you know of?

      1. Passenger(Chris), thanks for the information. I used those words Curator and Sentinel because those are the words Forrest has used to describe the area. So I am trying to connect it all.
He says Curator in preface of TFTW and Sentinel in a scrapbook story at Dals site. Both are caretakers or watchful.
I believe it relates to the end of the chase area where Forrest says look quickly down. I believe he is describing an action and a description of the area in the same words. Look as in a lookout, sentinel or curator. One who looks out for the area.
I like banging heads if interested.

        1. Passenger and DPT,
Both of you make valid points, I like the curator theme. The gatekeeper to a special place, but only to make sure large government types don’t try pulling there funny stuff but keep it accessible to those who actually pay taxes and care for their spaces.

          JL
                1. That is the first thing I have heard that makes any sense at all, did you see my smoke signal from my burnt bacon yesterday? Well that’s how my brain feels, I’m thinkin of becoming a vegetarian.

                  JL
        2. DPT.. Quickly is an important word. Put Quickly and Sentinel together and I think I know an area you’re looking at in Montana. Chest is also an important word and of course to complicate things, there is a similar area in Wyoming that is not disappointing.

IMO The best one is still further South. There are about 15 clues that line up with this place. … but if he put it there, he certainly had the last laugh.

But again, none of this really matter as we could make a case for any area. The key is understanding how to solve the poem so the answer is irrefutable.

          1. Passenger, I like the way you think. And yes you are right. Look or sentinel and curator I have combined with quickly. The search area is big though. I am trying to narrow down where precisely it could be by being more exact with my WWH.
My WWH is a Well or spring. Just like the start of page 6 in TTOTC. And I have many other reasons.
Anyhow my state is Montana although I like Wyoming to start.
Interesting you are a passenger, always remember Forrest intended never to be a passer-by in life.
            Thanks C

  2. Thanks Jenny and Mr. Fenn. If you throw a little common sense into the mix, nature can do wonders for your health, physical and otherwise. “The danger of civilization, of course, is that you will piss away your life on nonsense.” -Jim Harrison-

  3. Common sense tells me I should put my health first, but sometimes I throw caution to the wind! We all are guilty, but why? Do I value life so little, or value happiness so much? They are not always the same. Whoever answers, I’ll send you a Lucy Nickel! 🙂

      1. Wise Words, JL.
How could we possibly learn to treasure happiness without experiencing sorrow? Or, for that matter, any Good thing without experiencing its opposite? The fact that we (mankind) are even here to ponder it all…and the meaning of it…is no coincidence. It is all for a very Wise Purpose I am sure. There are many things to learn and experience…”but The Greatest of these IS Love”.
        Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

        1. Thanks JC1117,
Your words also carry great wisdom, when Revelation comes to be we will be united with our loved ones once again. Those that accepted JC as their savior that is. Imagine what this world will be like then.

  4. Thank you Jenny for having the Weekly Word. I think Forrest is replying to an email I sent him. I’ve been looking or this…I plan to end the Chase within 48 hours but I would like to leave a clue for everyone and if you can figure it out, you can meet me where the treasure is….the clue is “within” WWH! Take your time, eat a sandwhich, listen to some soothing music, then come back to the poem and figure it out!!!!

    1. Depends on your definition of ‘here’. If your talking MW, than obviously, no, we wouldn’t be here – unless all of us were searching for one of the other treasures, which is unlikely, since any place outside of TX, AZ, NM, UT, CO and WY is too far to drive more than once or twice ..

If your talking about being out in Nature, Hiking, than the answer would be yes – I’ve hiking and exploring the western u. s. for 35 years ,, long before I ever heard about Forrest Fenn and Bronze Beauty ..

  5. I try so hard to be flattering and witty. To provide “wiggle room”. I put serious thought into every word… and in the end… nothing. No smile, no grin, no wink and nod. I seriously don’t know why I continue to try.
    BTW, I’m about 80% sure that…

“BE MINDFUL OF NATURE AND YOUR HEALTH” is an anagram. Triggered by “, BUT NOT IN THAT ORDER.”

But to be honest I’m just tired of trying to figure them out anymore. Maybe Muset can figure it out.

    1. Good thinking, Will. Trouble with it is, when you’re dealing with that many letters, there are any number of possible outcomes. And the intended outcome probably only makes sense in context, so the puzzle is rife with the opportunity for force-fitting. I would therefore suggest that it is really only of value as a confirmation tool, and a dubious one at that.

    1. Thats what I got from it too… Im probably way off. But Im a little surprised that people havent sppken much about the possibility. Its an obscure idea… But then again so is leaving a treasure chest in the mountains. My money is on the positive outcome.. But, Im also cautious about the negative one.

  6. Fenn said this morning that only he and go know where the treasure is. Was that him and Bessie? You know whats funny about Forrest he says nothing but for some reason he thinks he said something. If you didn’t say something then you didn’t say it. 3 ppl have been within 50ft and its buried. Interesting, maybe we getting somewhere.

    Rooster
      1. Yea Major Fenn

        1. Only he and God know where the chest is.
        2. The chest is buried.
        3. Several searchers have been 0-200ft

(Before he said searchers have been within 200ft, he changed it up a little) too me several means the searchers have been within 5-6ft
