  1. Thanks once again to Jenny and Forrest for providing us with more “Weekly Words”. I know these sentences are fun, but sometimes I think Mr. Fenn might be giving us too much. I wouldn’t want to see the thrill of the chase come down to a “door prize”.

          1. Hello JC1117. Thank you for the DIY video. My sister can whistle like those shown and I had always wondered how she did it. Oh, I’ve tried not knowing how to, with no success. Now that it’s in my head, my family is going to wonder what the heck I’m trying to do tomorrow. They’ll probably standby with a paper bag in case I hyperventilate. Blue is one of my favorite colors. lol

        1. I have been practicing for a couple of years now. Because there are so many source letters, it wasn’t too difficult to find something quickly. Of course my anagram is just a joke. I don’t think there is a message in an anagram of this week’s words.

          1. I agree, Muset, that it’s probably not an intended anagram. But the fact that it works out to such a good one and that you solved it is amazing. Many years ago I put together a little anagram “solver” on Excel. It is not really a solver, it just keeps track of letters used and left as you try to test different solutions yourself. I find that there real aren’t any good programs to solve a long one like this – there are too many options if you include every possible word as part of the solution. That’s why I’m so impressed with your solution. Congratulations!

  2. Interesting. There are a great many things in life which scream for our attention…which make it difficult to hear the things that whisper.

Sorting through life’s distractions into keepers and culls is a skill that takes a lifetime…and very rarely seems to be mastered…

Also, logic is a poor tool for discerning matters of the heart…but it certainly has its place.

    Thanks again, Jenny and Forrest.

    1. I too would be interested in knowing more about his offer.
Odd that he doesn’t have some sort of challenge stating. I Forrest Fenn will pay X amount for lost property upon return. Although I do recall someone saying he would give a small amount.

    2. Hello, Monkey and V10.4. If I was fortunate enough to find Forrest’s Treasure then I would honestly just give His bracelet back to Him with no expectations, whatsoever. Hasn’t Forrest done enough already?

The monk picture made me think of the Christ in the Desert Monastery there in New Mexico.

It takes some serious devotion to live like that. I couldn’t do it. I suppose I’m a little too rowdy for that lifestyle…but I have sincere respect for their work and their message…which is Peace.

    3. JC1117 – you said:

(Hasn’t Fenn done enough already? And that you’d give him back your bracelet).

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, we pay for our thrills. As I see it 65,000 went out looking for his gold, all of them had some thrill but Forrest had more thrill then all of them combined, vicariously living through each and everyone of them.

I don’t feel like I’ve given anything away. The person who finds that chest will have earned it.

      1. Hello George. Mr. Fenn had placed a turquoise bracelet inside the treasure chest, but wishes he had kept it because of the sentimental value to him. If you found the chest, would you return the bracelet to him, knowing this? Or, would you keep everything, including the bracelet?

        1. Sir or Mam, if I find that specific treasure you’d never hear or see me again, I’d disappear into the Ozarks. No one would be the wiser, unless a generous offer was on the the table I would not speak to anyone about it. And yes anyone includes Forrest Fenn! If Forrest really wanted that bracelet he could go get it any old time, heck he said last week to people magazine @ 85 he could go right to the spot. I’m not even sure the motherlode is still out there so this is all conjecture, fun to think about from time to time.

          1. I agree the winner had to work hard to find that bracelet NO the treasure is not enough. My estimation puts the value at around 800k, measly in today’s society. The weight of 20 Troy lbs of gold is only worth 300k, everything else would be above and beyond, numismatic value etc…

      1. I get the feeling as of late that someone has located the treasure. That person either has the treasure or has located it precisely and knows it, I’m talking knows as in certain not as in guess metal detector or something. The reason I say this is because of some very strange activity involving Forrest commenting about physics and GPS coordinates.

    4. I don’t have time to read daily posts, my server is constantly polling the three blogs to collect daily posts. I found this weird ordeal from along time ago.

A man heard that I wanted the bracelet back and asked that I deposit $50,000 in his bank account to assure that I would be an honest man when he found the treasure.

  5. Hi,

I found the Omega that tells me which Brown. I can see Tahre’s face if I zoom out of Google earth. I can also see a sow’s ear, and I found an old map which has old houses on it. Marvel is a horse, and the ones we are interested in are Fjords. There are two Richards. There is a Mr. Old and a Mr. New. The chest is in Ro Mo. No of San Felipe? North of the territory called Santa Fe, on a 8.25 mile hike. Put in is a rafting term. Water connects the families. Some water flows south, some north. Meet in the middle. Omegas are horse shoes, and a person. It’s impossible to trace his great grandfather’s line- and there’s a reason for that, I think. What do you all think of my ideas?

  6. And, I believe his relative is Westley, the running man. My husband recognized his face immediately from all those commercials. Since the dates are off, the only way to prove that is with a lock of hair! Well, who knows if I am right. I got stuck in one of the mirror areas that the poem seemed to be referencing. So I went three times to look for it. The last time by myself. It is NOT on private property, it is where you can pay to prospect for gold, though. I might get there before I die, but probably not. I was sure before, and so… If you see a treasure hunter, go for it.

  7. One of the interesting takes on these weekly words is that the skip 5 technique gives, starting with the first letter

    …DIETY

and skip 6 give a related

    ..TOTEM

and more so, as one of Forrest memoir chapters relates to his jobs while a youth at Yellowstone, the skip 6 also yields

    … TOT(E)M CAFE YS (“wise” / Yellowstone)

which is where he worked and was the home of brown …. gravy.
