Six Questions with Jdiggins!

1)When did you first hear and learn about the Treasure Hunt?

The whole truth of it is quite a tale. I’ll save your readers and say the short of it is, March 5, 2014 at a “Rockhound” meeting.

2)What inspired you to become involved and begin searching?

There was a sequence of events that just fell into place and I found myself knee deep in a treasure hunt. The most inspiring of which was the challenge of solving the poem.

3)What is your most favorite part about the Treasure Hunt so far?

How it’s become a part of me. I feel it has given me a new outlook on my future, whether or not I succeed at this chase. I’ve made plans beyond the days I once thought I’d never see.

4)What is your least favorite part about the Treasure Hunt so far?

The fighting. But without knowing the bad things in life, we cannot know the good!

5)What is the best or most unique thing you found while searching for Forrest Fenn’s treasure chest?

This is tough. Tangibles have been a black marker, a nickel, a dime, some chewing tobacco, bait, a faded pink bandanna, lots of litter new and old, including and old coke can and mason jar, and there’s more…
As for the intangibles, like I said, I found a new lease on life.

6) What more would you like to say?

I just want to thank Forrest for his amazing chase! And also to thank you, Jenny for your awesome site, and my fellow chasers for all their great ideas and fun personalities. The culmination of everything and everyone is what makes the chase a winning recipe! Yummy!

Thank YOU, Jdiggins!  Like you say so perfectly, the Chase gives a ‘new lease on life’!  This seems shared by so many.  I am so happy to be part and to have met such wonderful people, like yourself, through it all!

Best of Luck will all that you seek and always Treasure the Adventures!

  1. Great answers to the questions JDiggins. I don’t like the fighting either. That’s why we need to get a group of searchers to team up and round table TTOTC, then hit the road to the most voted for spot. We will find it this way with teamwork. As long as we hit my spot first! ha-ha…….. Thank you JDiggins & Jenny.

    OH!
  2. Great answers, Jdiggins.

I also don’t like the fighting and arguing that happens on some of the blogs. It’s really the opposite of peaceful isn’t it.

That’s one reason I enjoy being in the mountains alone sometimes. Of course, it’s peaceful to be in God’s Country with Family and Friends, also.

I fear you might be looking in “my spot”. I’ve left a LOT of nickels and dimes there over the years. If you tell me you’re also looking in New Mexico then I’ll be worried.

I enjoyed your answers. The Chase is quite yummy. Quite the smorgasbord…in Deed! 🙂

  4. There is just sumthing about that photo that makes me stop and do a double take, all three look like co-conspirators. Someone had put a lot of thought into the clothing scheme for the day and it wasn’t even the fourth of July yet. Please tell me Ms Diggins is ff as scary as he looks?

        1. Thinking about you. We can build a new business and home if we need to. With all these batters up it’s not too difficult to see what base who is on. I’m so sorry about your stuff, but I’m glad you and the fam are ok. Take care. Talk soooooon.

          1. Looks like the Searchers that drove this Searcher away are taking good care of their fellow Searcher. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Maybe a golden hens egg or something will find it’s way to you soon. I see through the hypocrisy and falsehood. It is unfortunate what happened and if I could help every one of them I would. I don’t have anything but that’s all I need. So when i can I’ll provide what I can, because THAT is what friends do. Take Care
