The number 17 holds a curious spot to many mysteries.  As mentioned in the article entitled, The Mystifying and Recurrent Number of 17, the date of 17 appears numerous times in connection to the mystery of Rennes le Chateau.

It was also upon this date, the 17th of January, that Nicolas Flamel was believed to have succeeded in turning lead to gold.  No proof of this actual transformation exists, and yet the tale, with the specific date, persists.

One has to wonder why this number continues to surface.  In the case of Nicolas Flamel, could those who originally related the story have felt the number 17 conveyed a deeper layer of meaning and understanding to his life changing event?  Couldn’t then this same hidden meaning be the reason for the other usages of the number?

Looking into the history of the number does provide an astonishing possibility.  I feel, at least as one reason for the persistent use of 17 in the various enigmas, is its associations with the number 153, the fish, and most of all, the vesica piscis.  Valuable insight is realized by exploring these relationships.

In the last chapter of the Gospel John, verse 11, the miraculous catch of fish is told.  The tale states specifically that 153 large fish were netted by the disciples.  Many scholars have debated on why such a precise number was applied.  Some feel there is nothing to it; while others believe the number must possess a veiled knowledge.

An amazing aspect of the number 153 is that the first 17 integers sum to this number (1+2+3+4…..+17=153).   This direct relationship between 17 and 153 was significant to St. Augustine.  He believed the number 17 was special because it was the sum of the 7 gifts of the Spirit and the 10 commandments. This combination of the old and new covenant (Law and Spirit), and the fact that 153 encompassed the ‘first 17’, led St. Augustine to propose 153 saints will rise from the dead at the world’s end.   Here, one may even question if the month January, as the ‘first’ month, along with the date 17, might allude to ‘first 17’, and therefore 153.

The number 153 is also one of the numbers used to illustrate the closest approximation to the square root of 3.  265/153=1.73206….(infinity).  The square root of 3 is 1.732058…(infinity) and is extremely important to the vesica piscis.  The vesica piscis, meaning ‘vessel of the fish’, is a shape formed by intersecting two circles with the same radius and with centers on the perimeter of the other.  The square root of 3 is recognized to be the value of the central line of the vesica piscis.  You could call it the major axis of these two combining worlds or circles.

Not only does the name vesica piscis translate to include fish, but the relationship to the number of 153 fish in the Bible verse is seen; for 153 is used to convey an important value of the ‘fish’ or vesica piscis (265/153).  And as mentioned, 17 is equivalent to 153 by it being the sum of the first 17 integers.

This, to me, is interesting in relation to the following.  One cause, recognized by scholars, for the held importance of 17, is that verse 17 of Numbers (chapter 24) in the Bible speaks of the coming star.  This star is believed to refer to Christ.  Many images of Christ show him within the vesica piscis and the fish symbol is celebrated in Christian belief.

Christ said he was the Truth, the Way, and the Life, and only through him can a person come to the Father (John 14:6). It is not difficult to then feel this joining of two circles, illustrates the coming together of two worlds (God and man); since Christ is often depicted in this space of the vesica piscis.  The shape in the center exposes the way, truth, and life to something beyond.  Support is realized from 153 being written for the amount of fish caught in the verse of John, and for 153 being one of the whole numbers used to express the cut through space of the vesica piscis.

But there is more  to consider with the number 17. In the before mentioned article about the number, I shared 17 was held significant by those involved with the Cabala because path 17 is beleived to lead the righteous to reward.  Here an incredible understanding between the number 17 and the vesica piscis can be understood.

In wondering why 17 is important and why it was linked as the path of righteous, an answer was given.  One of my favorite passages in the Bible is Proverbs 4:18, ‘The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn.’  Dawn is the coming together of night and day; of the moon and sun.  This point in time, dawn, is given as a likeness for a path or doorway.  The two circular, merging shapes of moon and sun, like the vesica piscis, impart a remarkable vision in one’s mind of this doorway; a path of the righteous.

Beautifully, written in the Bible is noticed a passage which describes the silver turning to gold; the moon combining, but also giving way to the sun. Dawn; A night turning into light.  The verse of Proverbs 4:18 continues with, “shining brighter till the full light of day.” Once reading Borges, I noted he offered a perfect term for this ever growing light. He calls the peak, the shadowless hour.  I think that term is just golden.  All darkness dissolved by the midday sun.

Connectively, shown in one of Nicolas Flamel’s images is the sun and moon gathered together.  It would seem reasonable to assume, the number 17 which is important to the story of Nicolas Flamel, may be because his turning lead to gold is allegorical for this realization of a path.  An opening to a higher level.

The number 17 continues to be used and noticed throughout many mysteries concerning the search of a treasure. Although there certainly could be other hidden meanings, I feel this realization of gold, resulting from the vision given by the joining of worlds, is powerful. I hold it close to my heart.

As always I welcome constructive comments.  I would love to hear what your thoughts are about night turning to day; what image or vision do you see?

  1. Thanks for another great article, Jenny!

    According to the fantastic book ‘Many Infallible Proofs’ by Dr. Henry M. Morris, the number 17 is the number of transformation in the Bible. Another good source is ‘Numbers In Scripture’ by the great scholar E. W. Bullinger.

    I admit that I have not done a completely thorough study of this number in the Bible myself but I am aware of a couple interesting occurances. There are also those, myself included, who believe that the way the chapter and verses were numbered in the King James Version of the Bible was by design and not coincidence or accident. There are those who believe the KJV was a product of Rosicrucian masterminds like Francis Bacon or Robert Fludd and those who believe God Himself sat in with the translation committee to conduct things. Anyway you choose to see or believe it, one must admit that this version of the Bible has designs and wonders that one simply cannot find in other versions of the Bible.

    In Genesis chapters 6 through 8, it is the seventeenth day of the month when the windows of heaven and the fountains of the great deep are opened that bring Noah’s flood (I remind readers of these comments that the story of Noah is illustrative of the alchemical process of transformation. It is also the document Le Serpent Rouge that mentions January 17th and one of the last lines refers to the windows of heaven opening [the skygates], which is a reference to the story of Noah and Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan, and all alchemy students should be aware of the importance of these events in the alchemical process.) and it is the seventeenth day of the month that the ark rests on the mountains of Ararat, thus completing this Great Work of Deluge.

    Also, it is in Genesis chapter 17 that God changes Abram’s name to Abraham and Sarai’s name to Sarah. In Biblical numerology, the numbers 10 and 7 represent nations and perfection, respectively. So one might say that 17 even represents personal transformation or completeness of perfection, which is seen in the lives of Abraham and Sarah as the parents of the children of Israel and also of all children of the Abrahamic faith. God says that He will make of Abraham a great nation and that all the families of the earth will be blessed through him. Anyone who studies history can see, or should see, the literal fulfillment of this prophecy.

    And even though I realize that this is totally un-related with the subject at hand, the numbers 6,8 and 1, of Philippe de Cherisey’s parchment cipher and Grail Key, are the numbers for man, a new beginning and union, respectively. This, as a whole, could also represent ‘man reaching a new beginning through the union of the alchemical marriage’. I remind alchemy students that it was Christ Himself who originated the idea of ‘chemical wedding’ for it was at the wedding of Cana that he transmutes water to wine (John chpt. 2), which is illustrative of the consummation of the union of the Divine King and His Bride. Thus, with this, one can understand the underlying mythology behind the theory of the secret marriage between Christ and Mary Magdalene, which is alchemical from the get-go. Even the Magdalene’s name means ‘tower’ in Hebrew and a tower is a useful instrument in alchemy and is also to be found in various myths and legends and fairytales about the BEAUTY (I refer to Le Serpent Rouge once again) being locked in the tower, until the Divine King or Prince comes to rescue her. But before he can do so, he often has to battle the red (dragon) serpent!!!

    I will end my comments here, but I encourage others to research other occurances of the 17 phenomena in the Bible and other ancient texts. I hope that readers enjoy my brief contribution here.

    1. Another great comment…..and thanks for the book recommendations.

      Just to mention…I received an email the other day giving appreciation for the comments made here—by you and others. Of course, I enjoy your (and others) contributions, but it was great for someone to take the time to say they do as well. The different perspectives offer a wider view into the unknown and truly add to the topics. Thanks! (to you and all…and those to come…hint hint)

      Question—do you have a good book recommendation which covers the history of the KJV and research into the connections of the Rosicrucian’s, like you mention above? It is an area I would like to learn more about.

  2. Hello fellow researchers,

    Although I had already sent Jenny an e-mail regarding Rosicrucian involvement with the KJV, I figured I would post my answer here for the benefit of others.

    There is no hard core evidence that there was any Rosicrucian involvement with the KJV and the claim that Robert Fludd or Francis Bacon (although there are anomolies such as the phenomena found in Psalm 46, 46 letters down the verse reads “shake”, 46 letters up from the end of the verse, not including the word “selah”, gives us “spear”=Shakespeare and the theory that William Shakespeare’s literature was actually the work of Bacon.) had anything to do with the translating of the KJV was a historical blunder made by Masonic scholar Manly P. Hall.

    However, as members of the translating committee were brilliant scholars and very involved with the politics and associations of their day, it is not entirely without possibility that some of the translators were also members of various orders like the Rosicrucians and Freemasons. It is also a well known fact that King James I and VI was a patron of the Masonic lodges of Scotland.

    To date, the best book on the subject of Rosicrucian and Francis Bacon’s involvement with the KJV is a book by British scholar Dennis Palmu entitled “Cutting Edge Lodged In The Groves’ which is a critique of the claims of Christian researcher David Bay and “Cutting Edge Ministries”. ‘Translators Revived’ by Alexander McClure is also a very good source on the general history of the KJV as well as Gustavus Paine’s ‘Men Behind the King James Version’.

  3. Brilliant! The “Floodgates of Wisdom” have now been opened up for me! Whereas I am so used to trying to understand everything from some type of “How To” Perspective, often I underestimate other peoples ability to explain the meaning to me from some type of “Visual” Perspective. The moment that I stumbled upon your website, I sensed that I had something to learn. Now I understand what that something is.

    The Zohar mentions the Vessels. If what you are suggesting is true (and I feel certain that it is), then it makes sense to me that there are TEN Vessels, each of them corresponding to The “Ten Incarnations of Vishnu.” the First One, being “Matsyah” (Messiah) represents the understanding of the Visual Concept of the Vessel symbolized by the Fish.

    From a Visual perspective, everything is now beginning to make sense to me. “The Covenent of Circumcision,
    The Window, the Mirror, The Book, and the “Cup of Blessing,” (Grail Cup) which must have been a reference to this verse:

    “And Darkness fell upon the Face (s) of the Waters.”

    Perhaps that was meant to be more of an elaboration of the Concept just before “Let there be Light,” is mentioned, a reference to the “Opening Up of the pages of a book symbolized by the words: “BaraSHEET Bara Elohim Et.”

    Excellent work, guys!

  4. THANKS! Your research on the number 17 will help us develop the Kabukiman entertainment game that involves 17 coins, six cards, and two balls. We want to make sure there is no significant evil or superstitious connections to the prime number 17. Alex

  5. Of all the meanings attributed to 17 the most accurate is an ancient depiction as the swastika, which can be interpreted as infinity or eternity, properly as its right handed form with straight or curved lines. I have never found the symbol representing 18 in ancient texts and would appreciate any knowledge of this known to anybody.

    1. The association of the swastika with 17 comes from filling 17 of the 25 squares inside a 5×5 square. I don’t know at what point in history it started to be drawn like that, but I haven’t seen any swastikas of that sort until the Nazi swastika. And since the swastika, strictly speaking, isn’t drawn with horizontal and vertical lines, but rotated 45 degrees (like the Nazis did), possibly 17 isn’t the best number to associate it with. If you draw a swastika rotated 45 degrees inside a 5×5 square, the lines cross 10 squares. So 10 is probably a better number to associate it with.

  6. I wouldn’t say that the study of “numbers” is my specialty. But the “general theory” is that each of the numbers are linked to the understanding of the planets in some way. A Hindu Author named Harish Johari wrote a book on how numerology relates to the planets as described in the Vedic teachings.

    For example, 17 = 1 + 7 = 8. The number 8 corresponds with the planet Saturn. Saturn is known as Chronos, God of Time, which is one of the reasons why I believe that the number 17 (or 8) is linked with eternity (or time). The 2 loops crossing one another in the number 8 are supposed to symbalize eternity. Likewise, 18 = 1 + 8 = 9. The number 9 corresponds to the planet Mars, which is the God of War.

    Basically, in his book on numerology, Johari points out the fact that those who are born on a particular day are in some way influenced by the planet which rules over that number of the day in which they are born. For example, those who are born on the 8th tend to be influenced by the planet Saturn which usually gives bad karma and obstacles tend to be placed in that persons way in his path to success in life. The number 3 is the opposite in the sense that this number corresponds to Jupiter, which gives success rather than hardship.

    I find this “general theory” for as how the numbers influence people to have a lot of truth to it. For example, I was born on the 26th, which adds up to 8, which is ruled by Saturn. My sister was born on the 12th which adds up to
    3 which is Jupiters number. The two of us are “exact opposites.” Jupiter people tend to “lovers of life and sensuality” and have an much easier time achieving success in life whereas Saturn people tend to be stern disciplinarians, and have more obstacles placed in their way. I’ve found this fact to be true for other people I’ve known too. In fact, Hindu Astrolger BV Raman used to use something he referred to as “spot predictions” where if a person asked him a question, he would tell them to pick a number between 1 and 9. This idea was taken from a Hindu work called the “Prasna Marga.” For example, if a person chose the the number 8, he would predict “Obsticles in the way to the person achieving the goal and if the person picked 3, then he predicted success.

    It’s been a long time, but here are the number as I remember them and their planetary correspondences. The Lunar Nodes (eclipse points between the sun and moon are considered planets (Shadow planets) in Hindu Astrology:

    1 = Sun
    2 = Moon
    3 = Jupiter
    4 = Rahu (Moon’s North Node)
    5 = Mercury
    6 = Venus
    7 = Ketu (Moon’s South Node)
    8 = Saturn
    9 = Mars

    It’s also important to remember that if a person is born between 12:00 midnight and sunrise, then the number for the “proceeding day” is the persons number. What I mean by that is that the number begins at the Sunrise of the number day and ends at Sunrise of the next number day. For example, I was born at sunrise, so I tend to have traits for both the numbers 7 and 8. Number 7’s tend to be sensitive and spiritual seekers.

    Those born under the numbers 1, 3, 5 and 6 tend to have more “positive” qualities. Persons born under the number 9 are often quarrelsome. Number 5’s tend to be “cerebral.” 6’s tend to be successful, but are lovers of sensuality. The most rebellious numbers are 4, 7, 8 and 9. 3’s tend to be interested in traditional religions or their not interested at all. 7’s and 8’s tend to be interested in untraditional religions like Hinduism, etc.

    Anyway, probably not the answer you were looking for, but might help to give you some type of idea of where to begin in an attempt to understand the answer.

    Shalom!!!

    1. Saturn is associated with two numbers: 7 when counting the planetary spheres, and 8 when Earth is included on the list.

      Time itself is associated with 12 (for the signs of the Zodiac and the hours in the clock) and sometimes 13 (when the pole star or center is added).

      I don’t think 17 is associated with either. It’s associated with the Tarot card of the Star, that in terms of planets is associated with Mercury.

    2. Another thing: The traditional order of the planetary spheres is:
      1 – Earth
      2 – Moon
      3 – Mercury
      4 – Venus
      5 – Sun
      6 – Mars
      7 – Jupiter
      8 – Saturn
      9 – Zodiac
      10 – Highest Heaven

      This, by the way, is different from the order of the planets for initiation. That series begins with Venus, and then the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn.

    * The age of the universe is about 10^17 seconds.

    * There are 17 muscles in the tongue

    * The symbol indicating the constant which would be the most famous in mathematics is the 17th letter of the original Greek alphabet, pi. The original alphabet comprised three letters that are now obsolete, one was digamma, the sixth letter.

    * The girls having 17 years old, have on average 17 square meters of skin.

    * If you make an anagram of the number 17 in Roman numerals XVII you get VIXI which means “I have lived”…
    * “Heptadecaphobia” means fear of number 17. Some use the word “heptakaidekaphobia”, it has the same meaning; someone who fears number 17.

    * The flood described in the Bible started on the 17th day. Noah’s ark also came to rest on the seventeenth day.

    * You need to use 17 muscles to make a smile.

    * There are seventeen different ways a wallpaper pattern can repeat itself.

  9. 17 is the combination of 10 and 7. 10 is the number of testing in a complete cycle (whether the number is 1, 10, or 100 it stands for a cycle of something), and 7 is completion (some will say perfection). 17 is the completion or perfection of testing.
    We are told some will be put in jail for ten days, in jail you are made to do things, this is no different with the spiritual if your will is to become God’s will. God disciplines those He loves, this is the cycle of 10 that leads to 17 if you keep within His will.
    Without going back and reading all of them, I would bet all instances of the number 17 in the Bible end with a type of reward, and most after some sort of challenges that have been overcome.
    What I have come to believe is even though all the stories in the Bible stand on their own, they are all taking place within each of us (if we allow it), as one complete cycle of perfection leading to the number 17, or the path back to God.

    1. Hi Michael, Thanks so much for your information about the number 17. I have been seeing this number 17 for about 3 weeks now. At first I just found it interesting. I know now that it is not by coincidence. Now I see it’s all over the place. My birthday is January 17th. So I thought I tried to look up some facts or what it is I am suppose get from what My Creator is trying to tell me. I always pray to be in God/Jehovah/YHVH/ Yaweh. will for my life.

  10. I have stumbled upon this brilliant website because of my research in to the Forrest Fenn treasure search. I have bookmarked it and will continue to read on …
    Regarding your writing about the number 17 – at the end you invited response about night turning to day, thoughts or visions. It took me back in my mind to 1979….crossing the mountain from Lake Tahoe to Reno for an early morning work shift. It was a beautiful scene about 5 am as we reached the mountain top. Looking forward I saw the brilliant oranges of a sky teasing a soon-rising sun in Reno. Looking back I saw a Full Moon illuminating the expanse of Lake Tahoe. I had to grab a notebook to capture my exploding thoughts….”The mountain is dividing darkness from the dawn. There’s Moonlight o’er the Lake, although it’s almost morn. The leeward sky is burning the mountain tops beyond, while Moonlight o’er the Lake shows everything is calm…” That is just part of a moment in time that created a lasting vision of night turning to day …. Thanks for your writings, and I will continue to read.

    1. Beautiful account of night turning to day, Bryan. Thanks so much for sharing and visiting the site.

      And thank-you Lia for your thoughts and comments.

      All who visit help make the site for what it is and I so appreciate you all as well….!

  11. Jenny, in addition to following your TOTC posts I have begun reading all of your treasure blogs. Working my way slowly through. Such an excellent perspective and very well articulated. The spiritual aspect interests me as well. Thanks for all you do to make the information available to all. You are appreciated!!

  12. My birthday is 9/17/43. 9×17= 153, All numbers that appear significant everywhere I’ve looked. Then the birth year, 1943 or 1+9+4+3 = 17 ….. I find much comfort is this understanding because I am a Christian and a seeker to understand how all things work together …. If numbers are another language of God, then there’s hope for me yet that I will find my answers and become a victorious overcomer in this lifetime.

    1. Some good points Joyce! I was born on the 26th, which also adds up to 8, and for me, life is all about “overcoming obstacles” too. The number 8 is ruled by Saturn, which has a spiritual influence on others, but it’s a planet associated with obstacles. Two of my favorite books written on the subject of numerology were written by Jean Dixon (What Color is your Birthday?) & Harish Johari (?), just in case your interested.

  14. I love numbers and the sum of the words. I live in an island 100 miles long by 35 miles wide. It takes the sun exactly 12 hours to travel from east to west in this island. 100 miles in 12 hours. From 6.15 am to 6.15 pm. This island is at the center of the earth and is know as the island of the lamb of God. The only nation with a lamb on top of a sealed book on it’s seal.

    So the numbers 153 and 17 are special to me. 153 is also 63 and represents a limit. 63 = 9. 17 = 8. So 8 + 9 = 17. 8 represents eternity. So soon we shall enter into the last rest that will take us to eternity. 17 = called to be a saint. A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, Z = 26 = 8. Limit = 63. This is when the Lord will take action to eliminate the tares. See Matthew 13.30. Tares = 63.

    We are all called to be saints. This is why many of us see 153 every where. God is speaking by number 153. Now is the time to answer his calling. For we are approaching a limit. And after it we has no more time to do it. Act accordingly = 3563 = 89 = 17. Respond to his calling now. He is about to seal the fate of the tares. All those who did not become saints.

    Pedro

    Theology = 17. The survival of Israel = 17.

    1. As an “aspiring Sage” myself, I agree with much of what u just said. I was born on the 26th & 2 + 6 = 8 & 8 is the number ruled by Saturn. Saturn has a spiritual influence, but it also works to create obstacles in the lives of it’s natives.

      The “seal” which is mentioned in The Bible is misunderstood by just about everyone. Were the Tares (Tears) never included within the wheat (white), there would be no reason to separate them. Much will be explained in my upcoming article, depending on whether or not I can get Jenny’s approval.

    1. .
      Thanks Jenny. There’s a lot more some of which I dont want to get into yet.

      But, for something not too dangerous, take the 17th word of each stanza and look at 3rd letter of each – as surface, the position of E in SECRET.

      These analysis not required for the puzzle per se but things like this (and there are myriad) are why I’m convinced that Forrest is genius.

  17. Thanks For such thought provoking discussions Jenny.

    17= 1 + 7 = 8 Biblical interpretation
    One represents Holy Trinity (3 in1);
    7=completion/perfection
    8=eternity
    17=The perfect completed one>Christ Jesus; ultimate wisdom
    This also equates to Wisdom.

    2 possible puzzle applications:
    Look at Encoded secondary level/scriptural references. Rather than chapter 1, verse 7 look for chapter 8 references to Christ or wisdom.

    Example 1: Romans 8 lays the foundation or Roman road to salvation in Christ, the Light. Perhaps follow the old Roman road.

    Example 2: Proverbs 8 discusses wisdom’s call and gives a physical description of a place ‘at the highest point along the way, where paths meet, at the gate..”

    Wisdom’s Call
    1Does not wisdom call out?
    Does not understanding raise her voice?
    2At the highest point along the way,
    where the paths meet, she takes her stand;
    3beside the gate leading into the city,
    at the entrance, she cries aloud:
    4“To you, O people, I call out;
    I raise my voice to all mankind.
    5You who are simple, gain prudence;
    you who are foolish, set your hearts on it.

  18. There is a more esoteric lesson about the moon and the sun. The moon is represented by a hexagram, the sun with four pentagrams. If you draw the circles together, as in the figure of this article, you can start with the sun and generate the moon from it, or the other way around. So day gives birth to night, and night gives birth to day.

  19. I suspect the King James Bible gets better the sense of Proverbs 4:18: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” You have to look at the context as well. The gist is that the Lord provides wisdom and instruction, and “The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”

  20. Thanks Jenny for your thoughts on the number 17. Like all words and numbers there are many hidden meanings. After many years of studying the Bible as a literal interpretation I have found it to be a way to enslave the mind and stifle the growth of the soul. I know search all information with the understanding of deeper meanings. From my research vesica piscis as you state is the vessel of the fish. Well the sign for pisces is two fish. This tells me that we are the fishes.

    In order to find deeper meaning one has to look at more verses that mention fishes. ( Luke 5:1-11 and John 21:6-11 ) Without getting into a lot of details I have been learning how to cipher the English language using sacred geometry aka gematria taught by Marty Leeds.

    Now using sacred geometry aka gematria, the English alphabet has 26 letters and the number system for these letters taught by Marty Leeds are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 for the first 13 letters A-M and the number system for the last 13 letters are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, N-Z. Notice that the number 7 is in the middle of the sequence. Seven is a holy number.

    When finding the numerical value for fishes using the cipher above we will find something very interesting.

    Fishes ( F6,I5,S6,H6,E5,S6 ) 6+5+6+6+5+6 = 34 3+4 = 7, now let`s multiply the 6x5x6x6x5x6 = 32,400 = 3+2+4 = 9 and we find 17 twice in the word Fishes, ( F6,I5,S6 ) 6+5+6 = 17,( H6,E5,S6 ) 6+5+6+ = 17. I have found that the first nine digits of Pi to have many answers to hidden meanings and I have also found the number 153 in these numbers which lead me to deeper research.

    This may be hard to understand for some and I apologize, there is so much to express and so much more to learn. Jenny keep searching in all things.

    When finding the numerical value for fishes using the cipher above we will see something very interesting.

  22. Another very interesting article, Jenny. I thank You. I have enjoyed reading it on several occasions…especially since I have been attracted to the numbers 11 and 17 and 1117 for quite a while now…for strange reasons…which I still don’t understand.

    There is limited esoteric information “out there” if a person desires to find it…some of it very old…and written in stone…

    “Our next stop was the magnificent Suchindram Temple, where Lords Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are depicted in one form and where the famous eleven musical pillars are found. It has ancient records inscribed in Tamil, Sanskrit and Pali.

    Suchindram I noted with awe was more than a place of religious worship, it was a work of art. The 5,000-year-old structure has many inner shrines, each being more than 1,500 years old.

    There are rows and rows of statues, each significant, with its own divine tale. One of its most outstanding features is the hallway with 1117 granite carved statues of goddesses bearing traditional oil lamps. I could well imagine the beauty of the hall when the lamps are lit at eventide!”

  23. Mary Poppins is a series of eight children’s books(1+7 does = 8!) written by P. L. Travers. The books center on magical English nanny Mary Poppins. She is blown by the East wind to:
    Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane, London.
    Maybe that’s why Travers chose the number 17, but why did she choose the East wind, and why is east in upper case? There is a difference between God and god?
    Some 17 references to East Wind exist in the Authorized King James Version of the English Old Testament. In chapter 41 of Genesis, the pharaoh’s dream that is interpreted by Joseph describes seven ears of corn blasted by the east wind. In chapters 10 and 14 of Exodus, the east wind is summoned by Moses to bring the locusts that plague Egypt and to part the Red Sea so that the Children of Israel can escape pharaoh’s armies. Several other references exist, most associating the east wind with destruction. Often this destruction is of the wicked by God.
    There always seems to be a huge amount of destruction of the “wicked” by God in the Bible. I wonder why he did not finish the job! Au contraire it is always the psychopaths who rise to the top. Is the Bible then complicit in this endeavor? Who is this god that passes judgment and actively pursues so much violence?

  24. I was born on the 7th month of the 7th day in 1997 and weighed 7 lbs 7 ounces. All my life ive been so curious as to if this was all just a coincidence but it felt so much deeper than that. The past couple of months ive been doing a lot of research about numerology and trying to find answers to so many questions i have about the universe and it all.

    But the reason why im here is because the number 17 has been haunting me, ill wake up 4 different times in the night and every time i look at the clock its always something 17. At first i tried to just over look it but lately its really been creeping me out. its like something internal in me that always tells my brain to look at the clock & it wont stop. & this hasn’t been the first time in my life its done this, my junior year of high school the same thing was going on with the number 17, but then it stopped and just recently came back up again.

    Im beyond curious about so so many things and i dont feel like i know any answers and its causing me to have a weird anxiety about myself and what i was meant for and i dont know whatever it is trying to communicate with me. i really hope that by making this post it might lead me to some answers. If anyone has any insight to the significance in 7 with my birth or as to why i might have these phases with the number 17, please please let me know or shoot me an email. Thank you.

  28. Thanks for this treatise on seventeen.

    153 fishes was on the right side, fish in myth is knowledge. The boat is the mind. Right hemisphere of the brain. 1+5+3 = 9.

    9 in Greek mysticism 9 is consciousness. 9 is used throughout the bible, which is an allegorical text for people to increase consciousness. For example, 10 horns, 10 crowns, 7 heads is 27 = 9. Measuring the ark, goliath, tabernacle in cubits … a cubit is 18 inches = 9. 9 × n will always equal 9, e.g., 9 × 13 = 117 (9). Much of this has been taught by Bill Donahue – something like 1000 videos … https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB18CC95336FA2D3E

    For fun … 9 + n (reduced) will always equal n (reduced), e.g. 9 + 17 (8) = 26 (8).

    9 + 8
