David Klein, founder of Jelly Belly jelly beans, is launching a nationwide treasure hunt, called The Gold Ticket. It is much in style with the loved story (1964) and film (1971) of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, where someone will ultimately win one of his Candy Factories.
What a ‘sweet concept’!
Searchers must first buy a ticket ($49.98) from The Gold Ticket website. There is a hunt for each state, and a limit to the amount of tickets available. Currently, only 1000 tickets are being sold for each state. Those who receive a ticket for a state will be invited into a Private Facebook Group, where it is planned a Riddle will be released.
The searcher who solves the Riddle (of each state), and finds the Gold Ticket from the Riddle’s clues, will win $5,000 cash. The Gold Ticket is in the form of a golden tag on a chain with a specific code to verify it’s the actual ‘ticket’.
The finder of the ‘gold ticket’ must also be a registered searcher on the website.
Once all the Riddles are released, and if all available are sold, then those 50,000 searchers (1000 from each state) will be given the opportunity for the ‘Ultimate Prize’. That is a hunt to win the ‘Candy Factory’ in Florida.
As of now, not all dates of release for the States are scheduled….
The first to be released, however, is planned to be Georgia on 9/30/2020 at 11 AM EST. As mentioned, players of this hunt will be provided the Riddle on the Facebook Page (as of now). This may change as some who would like to participate are not on Facebook.
