When I’m not out treasure hunting, researching a mystery, or doing various other things, I work towards expanding my business of Kardtects Building Cards.

For Kardtects (Card architects), I travel around demonstrating what can be done with the awesome building cards produced by Kardtects.  But it is not just what I can do with them, it is what I believe anyone can do with them.  The exclusive design, texture, thickness, and size of the cards makes building a card house with them simply easier, faster, and more fun than using any other!!

I love to see the smiles on the kid’s faces when they complete a card house.  At first they think it might be too difficult for them to do. But by following a few key steps, kids can build lots of different card structures, and this in turn builds them!  The gain in confidence and sense of achievement they feel is wonderful to witness.

It might be one, two, five, or more levels high! But all structures are unique and fantastic.  In a recent newspaper article, Kardtects was mentioned to be ‘Powered by Imagination’.  I really liked that and it described the fact that building with cards is limitless.

Back in September, I wanted to prove Kardtects building cards are easier, faster, and better to build with than using normal playing cards which are smaller and more slippery.

So I set out to BREAK the record for a freestanding card tower in more ways than one. The Guinness Book Record for a freestanding card tower built with playing cards is 25’ 9 “ tall.  I built a Kardtects tower of 26’ 10” (will be building higher soon).  NOW, I will be the first to say, Kardtects cards are not playing cards and so a direct comparison cannot be made.  But that is main point. I believe Kardtects is better because kids of all ages can build amazing structures with them a lot easier.

Plus, I built my record breaking card tower in about 11 hours, and the record for the ‘Playing Card’ tower took over 60 to 80 hours! (shown below)

Here is a video where I build a ‘Kardtects Castle’ in less than a few minutes.  It doesn’t take long and with a bit of practice kids can build lots of things.

If you follow the steps and Master the Build of the Square (shown below), then this foundational structure (the square) is used over and over again to build remarkable card houses. (Apprentice builders can use card stands/Master builders don’t need to use them (they would just lean the first two cards together without it)

But the Fun doesn’t stop there.  In each pack are cardboard disks called Destroyers (with different characters) and these are used to knock down the card structures by throwing the Disks at them.  Below is a video of them in use for trying to destroy a 12′ foot tower:

So yes, the Fun Never Stops!  Because after destructions, you can build again, and start all over.

I really enjoy building card towers/structures/houses and sharing the cards.  I love showing how to Master the Fun of the Build!

  1. Thanks astree, i’m having fun in sharing them.

Yes I have. I asked if a category of ‘freestanding card tower’ could be created- but the card needs specifically defined to keep accurate and fair base on what to judge on.

And so knowing that I applied for ‘highest Kardtects freestanding card tower’ and this can be done once we go international. But since the cards are not widely distributed yet, they don’t feel the record is available for all (the WORLD) to try and break. But once they are……yes.

    So working towards that… 🙂

  2. absolutely ingenious these kardtechs…im reminded of the popularity of eggs benedict during the thirties and forties, then later reinvented by McDonalds as the Egg McMuffin……..brilliant……..metal erector sets invented during the early twenties century, resurfacing and improved greatly as Kardtechs……..i respect people that come up with reintroducing products that have been so successful in the past but hit a lull and needed improvement and updating…..no need to reinvent the wheel….brilliant these kardtechs
