We are so excited!  The Forrest Fenn Gold Medallions have arrived and the Treasure Hunts begin on January 3rd!  Get ready for the fun to start!

The Medallions are BEAUTIFUL! I’ve already received offers to purchase them for over $1000 dollars, but they are NOT for sale!  There have been a limited 50 ANTIQUE GOLD FINISH Medallions created with the date January 3rd, 2019 (launch date of FFGM Treasure Hunts), at my expense, for the prizes of the Forrest Fenn Gold Medallion Treasure Hunts (and possibility of a few future GiveAways or prizes in other MW Treasure Hunts).

These are the only ways someone will be able receive one of these first edition Forrest Fenn Gold Medallions. (other than Forrest, Genetic Blend (the winner of the Design Contest), Dal, and myself have received one each for the service towards the Forrest Fenn Thrill of the Chase Treasure Hunt and Gold Medallion Treasure Hunts)

Although the idea to keep the back of the Medallion design secret for the finders was planned, this has changed.  Dal and I (and Forrest) have decided to reveal the entire design of the Medallions for all to see and admire!   The Medallions are hefty, stunning, and absolute treasures!

As mentioned, the back was to include special doodles by Forrest.  He had sent a few doodles to myself, via mail, for Dal and I to use, and gave us permission to use any other doodles of our choice from his books.

Here are those ‘Doodle Cards’ sent to me.  (I took them out of the frames I have them in)

As you can see below, a few doodles from the Cards, and the books, were used, to create an awesome, one of kind, ‘unique’ Forrest Fenn Doodle Designed Medallion back!

The front design of course was chosen from the multiple designs submitted in the FFGM design contest held earlier in the year.  A huge thanks goes to GeneticBlend (Beth H.) for creating such a wonderful front.  Thank you ALL for your enthusiasm for the Medallions  and the upcoming Treasure Hunts.   We’ve had such a positive and exciting response to them!

Here they are!  Who wants one?!

And although many of the details were posted previously about the Forrest Fenn Gold Medallions Treasure Hunts, and remain the same (except the revealing of the back), here they are again with a few clarifications.

The clues for the first FFGM Treasure Hunt will be posted on Dal’s site on January 3rd, 2019.

The clues for the second FFGM Treasure Hunt will be posted on MW’s site on January 17th, 2019.

The clues for the remaining FFGM Treasure Hunts will be posted 2 each month in the months February, March, April, and May. One on Dal’s Site.  One on MW’s site.  (10 in total for this first series of FFGM treasure hunts (second series to follow. We have 46 Medallions to giveaway as prizes- but the second series might have Medallions hidden in other locations or be total armchair treasure hunts. More on the second series of FFGM Treasure Hunts after release of all clues for the first 10))

A searcher who finds a FFGM Treasure Hunt Stone MUST use the email:  FFGMTreasureHunts@gmail.com to make a claim for the Medallion.  An image of the FFGM Treasure Hunt Stone and CODE found on the Stone must be provided in the email with the forwarded claim. (Remember the Medallions themselves have not been hidden for reasons provided before- previous post here)

Also remember ONLY one Medallion is allowed to be claimed by household/searcher/person.  Because of the limited supply, no multiple wins/claims of Medallions will be awarded.

Below is a map of the area where the 10 FFGM Treasure Hunt Stones MAY BE hidden in the first series of hunts.  It includes all of the different areas of the Great Appalachian Valley noted on the map.

Also shown below are 4 examples of the FFGM Treasure Stones hidden to claim a Forrest Fenn Gold Medallion (obviously the back is not shown. The back has the CODE to use to claim) (an image of FFGM treasure stone will be posted with Clue for its hunt)

Any other additional details for the hunts will be posted with the clues on the 3rd!

See you all then!

Best of luck with all that you seek!  Always Treasure the Adventure!

  1. First off consider Jenny has searched for the Beale treasure in Virginia. She’s familiar with the surrounding area. My guess for the location of FFGM hunt #1 is to enter Shenandoah NP from the north entrance onto Skyline drive. You’ll have to stop and pay an entry fee or, possibly a small fee to walk in? Just past the entrance on the right is a parking area. I’d park and walk into the woods on the right hand side of the road, but not far, looking for a rock wall similar to the photo. JMO. I would have posted on hoD but, I’ve been shut out.
