Flyleaf of Forrest Fenn's 7th bookMr. Fenn,
On the flyleaf of your book about Mr. Sloane are the words “After he wrote his first book, he said it would be his last, and he is still saying that after his seventh.” And now you are up to ten books. Do you ever plan to really write a “last one?” ~ Just wondering, Jennifer.

.

Well Jennifer, how can I write the next book until I’ve already written the last one? f

  1. It was not for naught that Forrest tied knots in his poem.
Unraveling those knots makes our brains twist and roam.
Perhaps his next book foreshadows answers to the poem.
A swan song will be penned where his spirit seeks to roam.

May you enjoy time to pen many more books for us to enjoy Mr. Fenn!

  2. Yesterday, upon the stair,
    I met a man who wasn’t there.
    He wasn’t there again today,
    I wish, I wish he’d go away…

When I came home last night at three,
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall,
I couldn’t see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door…

Last night I saw upon the stair,
A little man who wasn’t there,
    He wasn’t there again today
    Oh, how I wish he’d go away…

Mark – seems like a lot of possible answers to the riddle … what about “tomorrow’s work”?

      1. Hello, Mark. Forrest is a writer and an explorer…to name just two things that he loves to do. He will never “finish” either in his lifetime on this Earth…because he will “turn the page” while still doing both, I’m sure. There are always more stories to tell and places/things to explore. And if you believe in the afterlife…which I do…all the more reason why Forrest will continue to do the things he loves without ever finishing. Is that what you’re thinking?

  4. Great answer JC1117 – I hope to hike mountains and fish crystal clear streams when I “turn the page” to the afterlife…and read Forrest’s book about what flying to heaven is like. He may have to travel slower than Mach speeds to observe and write about that adventure!
