Egg Picture Contest Winners Announcement!

What did they win?  They will be receiving  3 Gaming Pieces from the San Lazaro Pueblo.  These artifacts are true mysterious objects and date back to before 1650 AD. They also will receive a signed book by Forrest Fenn (The Secrets of San Lazaro Pueblo).  (Images of prizes here)

I would like to thank Don and Wendy for helping in the judging of winners.  They were awesome and I couldn’t have done it without them.  It was difficult.  I told them I don’t think I ever want to judge anything again….as it was so hard for us to pick one winner.  We loved all the entries for each had their own uniqueness.

I also want to give a huge thanks to all who entered!

In appreciation, anyone who entered can receive a pottery sherd collected from the Pueblo by Forrest and I on our recent visit there. Just send me your address (jennykile@outlook.com) and entry title. I am also going to add small animal bones and pebbles (collected from the Pueblo as well) to the children’s envelope for the reason explained in the original prize post.

So who won?

JC1117 (Adult winner) and Kaden (Child winner, age 6)!   CONGRATS to them!

  1. Thank you all so very much for your kind words and congratulations. My wife made that. I want to be very clear about that. She is a wonderful person. She is very happy to be given the honor. There were many beautiful expressions shared. She told me to tell you all “Thank you”…since she doesn’t blog, and she totally agrees with Jenny’s setiment in that she knows how difficult it is to judge and is glad she doesn’t have to do it. Thank you all again…especially you, Jenny and Forrest.

    1. JC1117 – A truly beautiful entry,…once again,…and a much deserved win! I nominate your talented wife to design the Forrest Fenn Action Figure,…that will most likely need to be designed,…after the release of the Academy Award-winning movie. 🙂

      1. I agree, E*. I’m sure the action figure she designs would be really, freakin’ cool…but I might need to make one small addition to her design when it’s all done…

Action Figure Forrest Fenn holds securely in his hand a Grizzly Jawbone Dagger! 🙂

That’s what I call a Man of Action! Instead of G.I. Joe millions of kids everywhere will be asking Santa for the new “F.F. Mojo” Action Figure. Forrest Fenn…complete with his Grizzly Dagger named “Mojo”. I should copyright and patent that. 🙂

        1. JC1117 – Bart the Bear II does NOT like your addition of the “Mojo” Grizzly Dagger! And he mentioned that he will also need a well designed action figure. Besides,…I don’t think the toy company who manufactures the “F.F. Mojo” Action Figure will be in business very long,…what with all those lawsuits filed,…by the parents of those millions of kids. 😉

And I don’t think the “F.F. S.O.D.” edition will fare very well, either. But I would LOVE to see your wife’s version of my imagined Spear of Destiny,…with the Crystal Clovis Point (from Forrest’s collection) attached with sinew to the end. Sorry Bart the Bear II.

  2. JC and Kaden Your beauty is shown in your work. Thank you for sharing your creativity. Congratulations again to you guys and gals you deserve it. I hope every one that enjoys life will continue to express themselves in such a positive manner through out the rest of this year, and many more years to come. Thanks again for the fun and sharing. JB

  3. Kaden loves to be outside and has since being a baby in a stroller. He used to look up at the pine trees as we walked him around in his stroller. He loves Indiana Jones movies and would like to try all of those stunts so we help him with stunts as much as we can safely and make up our own and he can dream about the rest. We have a lot of acreage so there is plenty of fun. I will try to post something from him later today.

  4. Hello Every one, I was so excited to get a package from Jenny today, I rushed indoors, from the mail box. To open it. When I did, I found the beauty it possessed,to be a little overwhelming with emotion. My heart and mind raced, with thoughts of the past and its people. Then back to the present with Jenny and Forrest.

I should explain for those, that may be new visitors, to Jenny’s site. Jenny And Forrest sent everyone that entered, a egg, In their Easter egg contest, a piece of history from San Lazaro Pueblo. Pottery sherd’s, Something they both, spent their time, gathering for us. I’m not ashamed to say, this brought a tear to my eye. When I first held in my hand, it touched my soul. I wanted to thank, Jenny and Forrest for this emotion.

When I saw the art work on this pottery, It made me wonder about the people of It’s time. The design or pattern was very beautiful and creative. I believe, you can see into a person, within their art work.As I did with the creations of all the eggs entered.

As I held these pieces of history, in my hand, I wondered if the people of their time’s had a reason, for the design, Was it recognized by others, living around the original creator to be that of a family’s pot or plate. Or did they Give them, to others like a skill piece.

What I mean is, did they have different job skills and share with all, their different needs. Like one person makes plates for everyone in the tribe, the next person makes bowls, the next blankets, and so forth until the needs of all where met by all in the village. Was this his or her signature and their way of saying I’m alive for you.

How great ,would the world, have turned out, If every one worked to live like this from the beginning of time, to today. A life where every one in the world had the same equality of life. All products where divided among all to have the same amount of stuff. There probably would be, no waste or war. What would there be to fight for. It turned out that Money and Greed, would consume human kind.

I know this may be thought, to be impossible into days times, but if every one on earth worked to make everything and that means new Ideas and products for everyone else to have equally. Every one would be working. The San Lazaro Pueblo peoples lives brought this up, sorry but my mind does travel at times.

I better stop with a simple thank you, but these pieces mean so much more then that to me. Thank you very Much Jenny and Forrest For allowing us the gift of holding a piece of history in our hands. J B

  5. I’d like to thank Jeff for reminding me that I hadn’t posted a big Thank You! to Jenny on her site to thank her for the book and gaming pieces. They are absolutely beautiful. I’m a typical man in that remembering to say “thanks” or send a thank you card gets pushed down a ways on my to-do list…I’m sad to say. Thank you, again, Jenny and Forrest!

Looking through the book and holding the game pieces in my hand also takes my mind back in time to envision people working and playing together…for the benefit of all. Great thoughts, Jeff. We all could do better to care more about one another. It’s one small step to “just get along”…i.e. coexist…and a giant leap to love one another. A Great Teacher taught that to me…and I try to follow…as foolish as I may be.

    1. Hi JC1117, I too just got mine in the mail….I am looking at them too and I am very grateful to Jenny and Forrest! Thanks you so so much…..It was really fun making the entry and being apart of this great Adventure…of a life time….

Lou Lee, Enjoying a special gift today. Makes me SMILE.

    2. Thanks JC1117 for mentioning me in your response. I believe one should follow their heart unless it guides them off, a tall building or the highest bridge. I guess, Its like every thing in life, it should be held in moderation, I think you are as far from foolish as one could get.I also think your right on target with together we live a better life, as humans.

have a great day, Happy Treasure Hunting season to all, stay safe out there, J B

  6. I love your excitement for the shards, Jeff! It is similar to how I feel about them; tiny pieces of amazing history to hold in the hand in order to feel and contemplate on. They are such treasures and I was happy to share them.

I am also so glad you all like them. You are more than welcome. I appreciated all the entries and it was a way to say thank you for taking part and enjoying the Chase for all it can be.

Forrest has really created a remarkable hunt. It brings many who believe in the journey, and the challenge and value of it, together! It’s just awesome.

  7. Thank you for sharing them Jenny, and creating a way to be creative. IT was fun. It is funny, how we can get so much enjoyment out of life, if we look and see its beauty, for what it is.

From a blade of grass, to the history of our past. Like the world casting down on us, the sun shine, to create the shadow’s of ourselves, thus creating our image as we walk down our paths through life. Just another way to see and know we are here.

Enjoying all in life, that life has to offer, is what I believe Forrest is teaching the world with the thrill of chase.

I have enjoy it, I love words, and how they flow at times. So I put them down. The coyote is a special one, for in his life he must have fun. Remember to Have fun, everyone. Thanks again, Jenny for your awesome site and the creative path you follow. J B
