Forrest Fenn's gold coinsThanks Forrest.  I was wondering about the Gold Coins in the chest. Did you have these in a collection before putting them in the chest or did you gather these specifically for the chest? ~x

I had gold coins for sale in my gallery because they made great gifts. Gold changes in value every minute around the clock so I kept my eye on what was happening internationally, and tried to buy when the price was down. It took me ten years to amass the hundreds of gold nuggets that are in the treasure chest. Many were obtained at gun shows where I always paid too much for them. f

  1. “Hundreds of gold nuggets”??

    And those along with all the gold coins, …..not to mention everything else in there, …..and a jar with his autobiography, …..how in the heck did you fit all that stuff in there Forrest? Are you sure that box is only 10x10x5 inches and made of bronze? Are you sure it’s not made of latex? 🙂

  2. Thanks…AGAIN…Jenny and Forrest…and question asker person. Personally, I find great pleasure in clicking on the picture of the gold coins just to make it go BIGGER on my chromebook screen. Actual size? 🙂 Y’all should try it. I find it very therapeutic.

  3. Happy St. Patrick’s Day Mr. Fenn,
    Top of the evening to you. I hope you enjoyed a pastrami sandwich with green sour kraut today!

    Thanks for hiding such a generous pot of gold coins. I wish myself the luck of the Irish and hope to thank your green eyes in person one day;)

    1. Hi Chicagodave, I will send your question along. Many people send questions through the contact form above, but really any way a question reaches me is fine. 🙂

      I would like to say, I send all questions I receive to him. However, Forrest is the one who decides to answer or not….. I have nothing to do with it. If he has answer to a question that has been sent to him for all of us to share in his answer (which sometimes allows him to say a little more than he might otherwise do)…..I post it here.

      Thanks for your question. Best of luck with the Chase or whatever you seek!

                1. 🙂 will, just messin with ya.
                  But, do you know what you just said? I mean, really? Cause if so, you are very bright, and I’ve got you in my rear view.
                  Puttputtputtputtputtputtputtputtputt. ..
                  🙂

        1. JC1117 – Thank you for posting that song with lyrics. It helped me get through being laid off from my job in Enterprise Sales almost exactly 20 years ago (minus about 2 weeks). I love these lyrics especially:

          Hear this voice from deep inside
          It’s the call of your heart
          Close your eyes and your will find
          The passage out of the dark

          Follow the blaze,…it is the passion of your heart. 🙂

          I also thought of that song when I saw the ornament your wife made. It deserved to win the contest.

        2. JC1117, I enjoyed your silly geometric drawing. Reminds me of something I would freehand and then laugh at myself! But wow, what a beautiful ballad! Until today one I was unfamiar with. In many ways Forrest’s totc has been an angelic influence in my life reopening wings of creativity, dreams, and discovery. Like a butterfly opening its wings to fly again. E* is right, your wife’s angel ornament was a tender and beautiful representation. Hard for me to imagine the assemblage of natural materials so well done. Thanks for posting the song with lyrics:)

        3. You’re very welcome, guys…and gals…and thank you, also. I never saw the video to that song either. It really struck me when I first saw it. I didn’t know Mesa Verde was the location for the video…and since I believe the Treasure is in New Mexico I found it very appropriate. I’m happy that you like it. And my wife thanks you for the compliments about her ornament. It came from her heart and was a labor of love. 🙂

      1. The Blaze is on AND in the earth. He put it there himself 5 years ago The question is, he has stated that he knows for a fact that people have been within 50 ft of it. Does he know for a FACT that nobody has found it. OR is he just hypothesizing that since no one has come forward that it is still there. This is life changing for most people. Including me. My lady and I WILL spend $4,000.00 on a trip of course we will enjoy it no matter what. But leading us to belief that it is still there when maybe it is not is NOT acceptable. DOES HE KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IT IS STILL THERE. YES OR NO. YES OR NO. It IS possible that someone found it 30 days or less after he put it there. It might have been gone for YEARS. What does he know FOR FACT.Of course I want to get out from behind the desk. Even if just for a little while and of course I will enjoy it. I just dont want to be led by the nose into something that is known not to exist and I hope that Forrest has the truth within him not to allow that to happen to anyone EVEN if it means they get out of the house. IS IT STILL THERE. YES or NO.

      2. Iron Will,

        I asked Forrest in a email several months ago if he would tell everyone if the treasure was found. He replied within 10 min. and he told me he would and that is good enough for me. How would he know,? A simple homing device either in or under the chest. Move the chest and he will know. With respect to the 4k you plan on spending–don’t forget that the thrill is in the chase. For what it’s worth, I have dropped 12k on 3 trips and am looking again in July.

      Not all those who wander are lost;
      The old that is strong does not wither,
      Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

      From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
      A light from the shadows shall spring;
      Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
      The crownless again shall be king.”
