forrest fennMr. Fenn,

I know you get tons of emails every day. Do you ever get any from famous people? DBC

Not really DBC, but some could be famous and I wouldn’t know it. My 13 year old granddaughter Piper said that I had finally arrived, because Ashton Kutcher put pictures of me and the treasure chest on his Instagram. She thought it was a big deal. I wonder if anyone knows who Ashton Kutcher is? f

      1. Piper is right. Ashton Kutcher is one of the good guys. He has a very pleasant personality…and it (kinda) takes a smart person to play a character that’s a likable doofus …like in “Dude, Where’s My Car?”

Regarding his role in that movie, Ashton said, “I was heavily influenced by Chris Farley and some of the work he did on Saturday Night Live. He had an attitude of not playing it safe and going to the extreme to get the laughs. That was the attitude I adopted for that film.”

You can see what he’s talking about here:

It would have been great to see Ashton and Chris in a movie together.

(Hollywood spoiler script: “Dude! Why am I living in a car down by the river?”)

        1. I DO remember seeing Ashton Kutcher talking about Forrest Fenn and The Treasure. I saw it posted on Facebook after my (now) sixteen-year-old daughter liked his post and brought my attention to it.

I remember that Ashton suggested the best way to solve Forrest’s Poem might be for a group of people to work on it together. I was looking for his sign-up sheet, but it never happened. In fact, even Ashton’s link to Forrest’s story on Facebook shortly disappeared…never to be seen again. True story.

One thing’s for certain…even movie stars can’t resist the Lure of The Thrill of the Chase! 🙂
